Hestia barks through the hallway as it echoes all the way

"Shh!"

I drag Hestia into my room and M'gann closes and locks the door behind her

Hestia runs onto my bed and gets comfortable, she lays down and rests her head

"What are we gonna do now?" M'gann asks

"I have no idea" I say

We both sit on my couch, thinking of all the responsibilities we're going to have

We look over at Hestia who's trying to sleep on my bed

"Calling all Young Justice members to the main cave. Calling all Young Justice members to the main cave."

"That's our cue!" I turn to M'gann

"What about Hestia? She might make noises or something" she says

Someone knocks at my door

M'gann quickly gets a blanket and covers Hestia

"Come in!" I say

The door slides open and Artemis comes in

"I was looking for you guys" she says

"Oh, really? I um- happen to be almost everywhere at some.......times" I awkwardly laugh

M'gann stands next my bed

"We have to go out there, you know how impatient they get" Artemis says

Hestia pops out of the blanket and growls at Artemis

Artemis jumps in surprise at Hestia

M'gann pats Hestia to calm her down

"Shhh, it's okay. She's with us" M'gann says

"When did 'that' get here?" Artemis asks

"Um.......it's a long story short, we'll tell you afterwards. But now we have got to hide her!" I say

"Yea, but where?" M'gann and Artemis ask

I think for a moment

"Bam! Over in my closet!" I point to my closet

"You seriously think that's gonna work?" Artemis chuckles

"Yep" I say

I went over to my closet to open it,

I opened a wall that reveals a keypad, I put my passcode on a keypad that's hidden in the back of my closet

The left of the closet wall glows and makes a door frame 

Artemis and M'gann look through the entrance

"Is that-

"Yep, Theymiscara." I say

"Woah, I thought you could only travel to there."  Artemis says as she looks closely through the door frame, looking at the beauty of homeland

"To answer that: yes and no, our elders say that's it's too 'dangerous' for us to use a portal like this ,but it's not that dangerous. Diana told me legends say th-

"Sorry to interrupt you there Lydia, but we need to get your pet inside of there before we get caught" Artemis interrupts

"Oh-okay" 

Me'gann drags Hestia to the other side of the door frame

"Oh wait! Before she goes free, someone might find her and say that she doesn't belong there. I'll put a collar on her with a letter so that whoever finds her will receive the letter and it will explain everything to why Hestia is in there." I say

"Okay, but we have to hurry" Artemis motions  the exit door

I take my golden thunderbolt necklace and put it on Hestia's neck as a collar.

I quickly get a sheet of paper and a pencil to write the letter

I roll the paper and get a rubber band and tied it around the necklace

"Okay! Now go fetch the ruler!" I get my ruler stick from my desk and throw it on the other side of the portal

Hestia runs through the portal to fetch the ruler

I quickly close the portal with the keypad

"Now let's go before everyone gets suspicious!" Me'gann says

We exit my room and head to the main cave for our mission

........

By the time we got there, the guys were standing there,

"Well, well, well. If it isn't the trio of getting their butts late" Wally says waving a finger at us

"Ha ha. Very funny Wally, ya know you should really make jokes about yourself than making jokes about us" Artemis says in sarcasm

Wally sticks his tongue out to Artemis and she does the same

"Okay everyone, I called you guys in for an important meeting" Batman says as he came in

"And what is the meeting we're going to talk about?" I ask

Batman turns to me ,
"Important stuff, Lydia. That curiosity will take you to bigger trouble, young lady,"

"Today we're going to talk about an animal" he says as he paces back and forth

Do you think he might talk about Hestia?

Me'gann says in my head

Me'gann has turned on the link so we could
talk through our minds instead of whispering

I don't think so, I mean Hestia is a pet! She doesn't seem that harmful

"Lydia! Are you listening?" Batman asks

"Hm? Oh yes! Of course! You may continue." I say

"Right. This animal is a dog, I had it in my vault so she wouldn't escape. The dog was an experiment of Lex Luther, he used it to test some type of venom on the dog. I managed to capture the dog and brought it back here where it can be safe in my vault. I had to test it with this..."

Batman takes out a needle, safely capped

"This will show whether the dog is dangerous or not, let's just hope it's not dangerous" Batman says

"Where is it then?" Conner asks

"That is the very same question I asked myself when I returned to my vault this morning. I will know where it is and will assign some of you to find it."

"Why are we talking about this animal? And why is it important?" Robin asks

"This animal is a one a kind and it's one of Lex Luther's experiments. It's important because it's dangerous, if you take this animal through another world portal then I might effect the other world that's through the portal.
It may look like a normal dog, but it's more than just a normal dog," Batman explains

"What do you mean 'effect'?" I ask

Batman turns to me,
"It's can kill that world's source of power they use or worse: make another world or universe decease to extinction,"

We walked our way to my room

The door opens as we quickly enter,

"This is really bad guys! What are we gonna do?" Artemis exclaims, she paces back and worth shaking her hands off

"What we're gonna do is going in to Theymiscara and get Hestia back and return it to Batman and tell him the truth" I say

"So we're telling Batman that you guys took the dog out of the vault?" Artemis asks

"You know what, we're not gonna tell anything to Batman" I admit

The door automatically opens as Batman appears behind it

"Tell me what?" He says with his arms crossed

"Uh oh....." M'gann says
