15 minutes later.......

Lydia's POV

As the awkward and uncomfortable silence lingers the living room, I shift my legs around

Lex Luther sits across me on the sofa with a glass of water in hand, Hestia.......

Probably Lucy.......

Was sitting next to him, her tongue sticking out

My eyes glance down at her as she excitedly rolls on her back

...Traitor......

"I've heard a lot about you Lydia, you have a good place in your mother's heart," Lex Luther says, he sips half of the glass of water and sets it down on the coffee table

"Why are you in my house?" I cross my arms and raise an eyebrow

"I wanted to discuss with your mother about my new corporation building,"

"How do you know about Hestia?" I motion my hand at Hestia, she squirms her furry back on the carpet floor

"You mean Lucy?" He bends down to rub her belly, which she lets out a satisfying, lazy  groan, "she's my dog. One minute she's with me, the next she....disappears....."

"Well, people should really take care of their precious dogs," Luther properly sits back in his seat, Hestia sits up cocking her head at me as her floppy ears fall to her one side

Hestia walks over to me and puts a paw on my lap, I soothe her golden fur

"I was going to report to the police on a missing dog but......I guess she found someone,"

"Yes.........she did...." I narrow my eyes at Luther, "Hestia is a smart dog," I take Hestia's furry head in my hands and smile at her, she places her other paw on my lap to jump on and lick me

"It's Lucy, actually, I don't think naming a dog after a goddess won't make her a noble,"

"I named her Hestia because Hestia is the goddess of hearth,"

"I think Lucy suits her, she constantly responds to it, don't you think?"

Hestia turns her head at Luther

Luther leans back in the sofa with a leg crossed and his finger on chin, his green eyes narrowing

"I don't mind which ever name, it's based on what name the dog responds to," I look back down at Lucy, "what do you think? You want to be called Lucy from now on?"

She happily barks as she jumps off of me, her golden tail wagging,

She runs off to the hallways up the stairs to probably find my mom or grandma or.......one of her chew toys

The awkward silence lingers through the living room again.....

The clock hanging above the fireplace ticks in a chronological pattern, wanting the livings' attention

Pictures on the wall, mostly contained of me, grandma, Hestia/Lucy, and mom, were hanging there in silence

Their square and rectangular frame containing memories in a bliss
