"Ughhhh!", I groan in frustration as I try to figure out what lyrics go with the song i'm making. I start playing a part of the song.
"Lost in darkness
You're my focus
Love me hopeless"
I decided that that would be the bridge. I honestly still don't know what i'm writing this song about.
"Hey, Sabby?", my sister, Sarah walks into my room as i'm re-playing the song.
"Yeah?", I turn around on my chair to face her.
"I'm tutoring this girl and we're hungry. Do you mind ordering pizza?", she asks. Sarah usually tutors high schoolers on the side for extra money to pay for her college tuition.
"Got it.", I say as I pull out my phone to order.
--- 40 minutes later ---
I get a notification on my phone saying the pizzas here. I hop down the stairs, hearing laughter.
I turn my head to the side to see that Sarah and a girl were playing with Goodwin. I take in the girls features, her hair, her eyes, her lips, her laughter, it's all so pretty. I stare at her in adoration as she picks up Goodwin and hugs him. For some reason i'm just drawn to her, I don't know, maybe she's just... likeable?
Goodwin's head pops to the side facing me and jumps out of her arms to run to me. "Hey Goodie!!", I bend down to pick him up and plant a million kisses on him.
"Oh Sabs! This is Rowan.", she motions to the brunette. "Hi, i'm Sabrina.", I smile sweetly. "Hi!", she says. I look into her eyes as she looks into mine. I noticed a sparkle in her eyes, it was mesmerizing, I couldn't look away.
Sarah's head nods side to side and she notices we were staring at each other. "Uh, so when's the pizza coming?", Sarah asks awkwardly.
"Oh shoot! The pizza guy is still waiting!", I snap out of my trans and run to the door.
"Thank you.", I say as I hand the guy the money. I notice the guy was staring at me creepily with a stupid grin.
"Oh no. A pretty girl like you shouldn't have to pay.", he looks me up and down.
"Oh uh- no it's fine. Just take the money.", I extend my hand with the money further.
"How about i make you a deal. I pay for the pizza this time, then when I take you out on a date, you pay me back back at my place.", he winks.
Rowan suddenly pops up beside me. "What is wrong with you? Your absolutely disgusting. News Flash- SHE ISN'T INTERESTED. And i'm pretty sure any other girl you talk to isn't either." She grabs the pizza and takes the money from my hand, placing it in his own. Then she closes the door on him.
"I'm sorry. I just really hate those types of people.", Rowan placed the pizza on our table.
"No it's okay, thanks for sticking up for me.", I smile at her. Then we accidentally make eye contact and just continued looking into each others eyes , again.
" Rowan's only 16 and she's like a full-on passionate feminist, it's amazing.", Sarah opens the box of pizza and stars eating it, not noticing that she was ruining our moment.
