"Ok, let's go over this one more time before you go and recite this to your pack," I announce. Ravyn and Liam nod in agreement. "First. I'll travel separately from Liam's group because I can hide my scent and I can blend in better when I'm alone. We will leave just after noon tomorrow so your pack can prepare. Then once you and your pack arrive about 5 miles from the location, Ravyn will mask your scents and create a small opening for you all. Half goes in front, while the other half enter through the opposite end to completely surround the place. By then, Hunter will have most likely sensed you and he will confront you. While all this is going down, Ravyn will stay as far away from the location as possible so as to not be detected by the other witch. If that happens," I look at Ravyn, "Don't hesitate to fight back. I will sneak in, find where he's holding Ravyn's family, rescue them and then we can attack full force."

We look at each other and nod in agreement once more. I almost forgot.

"One more thing. When the fighting ensues, Hunter is mine." I growl that last part.

"I'll go and tell my warriors now and start prepping immediately. If I get this done fast, we can leave by dawn."

"The sooner the better," Ravyn adds.

As soon as Liam exits the room, I pull Ravyn in close. As we pull away from each other, our eyes meet and lock. I take a deep breath before I begin talking.

"Ravyn," I breathe out.

"Yea?"

"I want you to know that I am going to try with everything I have to get them all out. But, I need to know that if, for some reason, I can't... I need to know you won't be mad at me." My eyes deviate from hers and stare at the wooden floor.

"I know I can be a bit irrational. But, at the end of the day, you are my best friend, my sister, and I could never be mad at you, well not for long anyway," We both chuckle. "Just as long as you tried, that's all that matters to me. I know that there's a great possibility that they're already dead-"

"Don't you dare say that. I know they are alive, for now. But, as soon as Hunter sees Liam's pack or me, I will have to race against the clock because that's when he strikes. And I know how badly you want to leave, but we need to take our time. He won't try and kill them until we arrive. I just know it. So it doesn't matter if we leave right now, tomorrow morning or tomorrow afternoon. The outcome will be the same. It's best to have a clear and focused mind before diving into the deep end."

A tear slips, and rolls down her cheek, "Thank you. I really needed that."

"Of course. Now, let's wait for Liam so he can get us a room. Goddess knows the last time I showered and brushed my teeth," We laugh. Wholeheartedly.

"Don't worry, no one can even tell. Besides, I'm sure you found ways to be clean."

"That's true. I stole a lot of soap and toothpaste from not only the packhouse but the town and the other abandoned houses." I chuckle as I look back into a fraction of my dark past.

Ravyn and I sit in Liam's office for what seems like hours. We make small talk and split the food Liam brought for me. I moan in delight. I can't remember the last time I had mac and cheese. Eventually, about 30 minutes later, Liam comes sauntering in. We ask him about a bedroom and he obliges. He tells us that the pack has agreed to the plan. I ask if he mentioned me or my wolf. He shakes his head and soon leads us to a room farthest from the others.

"You two can stay here. Don't go wandering around unless you're with me. And remember Kiara, they know you're my mate, but they don't know you. I have to go now and meet with my mother to confirm that I am not dead."
