Hunter's POV
I couldn't have cared less if I got my memories back or not. It's all the same to me. Kiara's always chosen him. But, now that I think about it... these returned memories only fuel my fire even more than before.
"Sir. A couple of scouts just returned. They said they saw the Black Wolf leaving her mate's territory."
I turn to look at the soldier before me, "Kiara left? Hmm... Interesting."
"Sir?"
"I will tell the Alpha. For now, tell everyone to get into their assigned groups."
"Yes, Beta-"
"Oh, and one more thing," the wolf nods, "Where was she seen leaving from?"
He hesitates for a moment. Probably trying to figure out what they said, "I believe they said from the South-Eastern border."
"I don't care what you believe. Find out the exact area from the scouts then contact me. Got it?" I growl between my words, my power sending light shivers through him. I smile, pleased with the fear associated with me.
"Y-Yes Beta."
As we walk our separate ways, I head towards the main room. Sticking close to the walls, a cobweb gets stuck in my hair.
"Ugh. Why is no one cleaning this place up?" I snarl.
"What for? It's not like we'll be here for long." I turn to see Garrett smirking to himself, "I heard your girl is on the move. It's not like you to be standing still knowing this opportunity is one that won't happen again."
"That's exactly why I'm heading to Henry. Once I tell him, she'll be all mine." I say as we both begin our walk once again.
"Just know that I'm with you. All the way, Hunter."
I nod as we enter Henry's chambers. I clear my throat, "Alpha. We've just received news that Kiara has left Liam's territory."
"Has she now?" His voice sends real shivers up my spine, "This time I won't let her go freely. I'm going to need her now."
Silence fills the room.
"Shall I retrieve her for you, Sir?" I ask loudly, yet hesitantly. I feel his eyes burn through mine. I tear my gaze away, unable to stand it any longer.
"Take a small group with you. Only the wolves you trust. I just want her captured. She's worth more to me alive than dead right now. Take the chains and a syringe. Only use liquid mercury if you cannot subdue her. We're limited with what we have,"
I elongate my claws into my palm to keep myself from smiling. I will get my revenge soon enough.
"Of course Alpha," Garrett speaks for me as I nod along.
"But, this begs the question. Where will we take her?" I find my voice again, "They will immediately search this place, so where should we take her, Alpha?"
"Take her to Ferris. I have a place just outside of city limits with the perfect room for her," he chuckles before adding, "Cage. I'm going to need that witch friend of yours... Candy, was it?"
"Yes, Alpha. Once she's been to the location, she would provide a quick getaway."
This plan will work. I will be successful and I will capture Kiara.
"Then it's settled. Head to where she was seen leaving and wait for her to return. Don't be stupid-"
"Excuse the interruption, Alpha. But, what if her mate or other warriors show up?"
