Chapter 10

Avery's P.O.V.

When I open my eyes I see Ethan laying next to me,I remember how late we got home last night.I stand up very quietly,trying not to wake Ethan up.
I manage to go in the bathroom and have a quick shower and then get dressed,I decide to leave my hair the way it is and do nit blow-dry it.
I go down in the kitchen and make breakfast which consists of two small sandwiches and a cup of black coffee for me,I decide to make Ethan some pancakes so he cat eat when he wakes up.
After I finished eating and making Ethan's breakfast,I took a little sticky note and a pen.
'I'm going to meet Violet today so I may be a little late,I know we agreed to meet her together but it'd be better if I meet her first and I will call you later,before that I hope you won't get bored.
P.S.enjoy your pancakes.
P.P.S.I love you xoxo.'

I stick that on the counter next to the pancakes and leave the house.I take my phone out of my pocket and dial Violet's number.
'Hello Avery.'I hear her say as she answers the phone.
'Good morning,hope I didn't wake you up.'
'No no I was up already.'
'Great,I just left my home and I was wondering if it's a good time to meet you.'
'Yeah of course,I'll text you the address of my apartment,is that okay with you?'
'Sure.'I say and hung up,I see a message from her in a fee seconds.

'2556 Kingsley Road.1st building,7th floor,white door on the left.'

I decide to take a taxi because her house seems a little far to walk so taxi is a good idea.
After ten or fifteen minutes the taxi stops in front of a many stored building.I pay the driver and get out of the car.
I enter the building and take elevator and press 7 on the button section.In a few seconds I'm already on the 7th floor and I get out of the elevator,I spot a white door on the left of me and knock there.
I didn't have to wait for a long time,in about ten seconds the door was open and I saw Violet standing there,smiling widely,I smiled her back.
'Come in darling.'She says and I enter her house.
The first thing I see is a huge room with a little balcony and a coffee table with some newspapers and books on it,I look around and there are pictures on the wall from different painters,I also spot a few plants on the window.This apartment is not huge but seems very comfortable for a single person,it'd also be pretty good fro two people.
'Nice house you got here.'I compliment and take a seat on the sofa which is in the middle of the room.
'Thank you,the woman I worked with lived here but she left it to me,I couldn't afford buying a house back then.'She explains and leaves the sitting room.
'I have some home made cookies and waffles for you,would you like milk or hot chocolate?'She asks from the kitchen.
'Milk please.'I respond and exhale.
My phone vibrates and I take it from my pocket to see Ethan's name on the screen.

'Loved the pancakes baby,please don't be too late xoxo.'

I smile and reply to the message.

'I'll try.'

I type and send it.

In a few minutes Violet comes back from the kitchen with a few stuff in her hands,I help her to lay the table.
She sits in front of me and we enjoy our cookies and milk in a comfortable silence.
'I love this cookies.'I say when I finish eating them.
'I can make them frequently for you.'She smiles and I nod in agreement.
'Hey Violet,I know this may sound like a little weird or harsh to you but I still wanna take the DNA test,if you don't mind of course.'I said and looked at her.
'It isn't weird or rude at all sweetie,of course I'm okay with that,one of the reasons why I called you yesterday,the main was cookies.'She says and I laugh,she has a happy smile on her face as well.
I didn't have the time to notice how nice she looks today,she has her white hair braided and she's wearing grey baggy shirt and black leggings.
After we chat a little bit,we decide to walk to the clinic where we can take the DNA test since it's near to her house.She changes her clothes into a dark jeans and a black leather jacket before we left her house.My mom actually has fine style.We take the elevator down and leave the building.
'So tell me Avery,are you meeting someone or you're single?'She asks while we're walking and I raise my brow.
'Well I have a boyfriend.'I answer.
'That's great,is he a nice guy?'
'He is,actually he wanted us to meet you together today but I left early today and didn't want to wake him up.'I explain.
'Aww,tell him to meet us after we finish our stuff,okay?'
'Yeah sure.'I nod and look up at the huge building in front of us,we're already on place.
We enter the building and go to the receptionist and ask for what we need and she informs us that we have complete some papers and after that we go on the second floor and take the test which feels like a little insect bite.
I insist on paying about all this but Violet is faster than me as she pays for everything and I kind of feel bad about it.
'It was my job to take this test and prove that I'm your mother with blood sweetie.'She says.
'But..'
'No buts Avery,let's go in some comfortable cafe now and you call your boyfriend to meet us there.'I nod we leave the clinic and walk down the street and enter a random cafe with comfortable seats and good aura.
I text Ethan the address of this cafe and before he arrives,we decide to order two milkshakes for us.
