I was half sleep while Ms. White lectured on and on about the opportunity costs. I hate Econ. It was only second period and I'm already over today. Most of the class was nodding off, she continued to read off the slideshow in her boring tone. I groaned and let my head fall down on the text. My attempt to fall asleep failed when I felt two quick vibrations come from my jeans. I reached in my pocket and pulled out my phone. When I saw Skye's name above a message on my lock screen I smirked.

~Come to my dad's office, I'm bored :)

I chuckled and started to reply to the text. Today was his first day back to school, his mom didn't want him falling too far behind. She had to practically drag him out of his bed this morning. To my surprise his rode with me to school this morning. Kyle left too early for him and he didn't want to ride with Carly. Since he was only going to gymnastics twice a week he has to stay while we practice.

~Where's your dad? That's a little risky don't you think?

~He's had meetings lined up all day, besides, I thought you liked risks ( ;

Wow. He just winky faced me. It's real. I looked up at Ms. White, she still had her back to the class as she spoke. I could sneak out and she wouldn't even know I was there. She's the oldest teacher in the school, I think this is her last year.

"Hey, man." I whispered and tapped the guy next to me. He sprang his head up, he'd been drooling and had a red mark where his head had been laying on his spiral. "If anyone asks I'm in the restroom." I gathered my things and snuck out of the class. The halls were empty, APs usually do hall checks only the periods before and after lunch so I should be good right now. I roamed the halls, making my everyday turns to the field house.

Skylar and I have been texting a lot lately, it seems kind of stupid considering we're fifteen feet away from each other most of the time, but I enjoy it. He's become a lot more comfortable with me over the past few days. I sneak in his room and stay for a hour or so and we just talk. We've even began socializing more in front of his family. The more time I spend with him, the more he seemed to like my company.

I entered the doors of the field house and for the first time it was completely silent. A lot of the lights were off, but I could easily still make my way around. I could see the light coming from Coach's office. I was skeptical of going to it, what if Coach came back during the time it took me to get here?
I stood just awkwardly staring at the room for nearly five minutes. I felt my phone vibrate in my pants and I pulled it out.

~Im guessing you aren't coming..

I shoved my phone back into my pocket and walked quickly into the office. He was in his dad's chair with his foot propped up. His mom had it wrapped up. Some cotton was over the stitches and then a couple layers of black gauze. He looked up at me with his phone still in his hands. I saw his dimples appear as a smile crept on his face.

"Where's your dad?" I looked around the office. He definitely wasn't in here but I wanted to be safe. If he caught me and Skylar I'm pretty sure he'd strangle me.

"Calm down. He's in a budget meeting. It's not going to be over until like lunch." he said going back to his phone. I slowly sat down in the chair in front of the desk. I was still a bit nervous. Skye looked up from his phone and rolled his eyes. "If he comes back just say you came looking for him."

"There's a chance of him coming back?" My eyes got wide. He rolled his eyes again.

"Why are you and Kyle so scared of him?" he asked in an annoyed tone.

"He's scary." I admitted. I didn't realize how much of a punk I sounded like until he rolled his eyes again.

"Except for not really. The worst he could do is sit you out of a quarter."
