THE FOLLOWING CHAPTER HAS SOME GRAPHIC SCENES. THEY ARE BOY ON BOY IF YOU DONT LIKE YOU SHOULDNT READ. HOPE YOU ENJOY
As much as I fly you would think I would be use to it, but I still hate it. Airports are one of my least favorite places in the world now. Add my dad's judging, Carly's nagging, Kyle's annoyance, and Christian's youth, it's a recipe for disaster.
Fortunately there was a flight to take us directly from Ohio to Denver. When we landed it was already dark, but it wasn't too late. We left the truck in the parking lot at the airport. Dad and Kyle loaded our luggage onto the back. The whole ride home I had headphones in and my eyes closed. We were almost home when Carly tapped me.
"Daddy's talking to us."
I groaned and took the headphones out of my ears and sat up. I looked around, we were in our neighborhood, the house was a few turns or so away.
"Your mother and I have been thinking, and you know we're really proud of you two." he started. I looked at him half dazed and confused. They're proud of Carly because what? "You two have been working hard, Carly we know school isn't your strong suit, but you still manage to maintain a decent GPA." by cheating, but whatever. "And Skylar, you're our little genius, and you seem to be on pretty good winning streak in gymnastics." Did my dad just compliment me in gymnastics? Kyle smiled back at us from the passengers seat. "To show you how proud we are we got you two a little something." He smiled as we turned the final corner and pulled up to our house. Me and Carly's faces lit up at the sight of two vehicles in our driveway.
Two identical Mustangs were parked parallel to each other. One was a bright red the other a stunning blue. My mom was waiting next to the cars with her camera ready. She snapped pictures as the truck continues to pull up.
"Dad is the for real?!" I asked with my face against the mirror.
He held up two sets of keys as he stopped the truck. He tossed a pair to me and the other to Carly. She opened the door to get out and I nearly pushed her to the ground as I followed.
My mom held out her arms and we hugged her, keeping our eyes on the cars.
"Are you surprised?" she asked squeezing us. Our smiles made her year.
"Mom, oh my God! I don't know what to say!" Carly said still hugging her.
"Do you like them?"
"Yeah!" we both said. I had my eye on the blue one, I don't care if it was bought for Carly or Hillary Clinton, I'm getting the blue one.
"Don't you want to look inside?" my dad asked as he, Kyle, and Chris walked up.
I quickly ran to the blue car. It had an amazing interior. Cloth front bucket seats, black dash, gloss paint console, it was a teenagers dream.
"What do you think kid?" Kyle asked.
"It's badass." I said not loud enough for my mom to hear.
"Yeah I helped pick them out." He skimmed the side of the car nodded his head, satisfied with them. "A Grabber Blue with a satin black tape stripe. Carly's is Race Red." he was just as excited as we were, probably because he wouldn't have to chauffeur us anymore. "Both have a charcoal interior, with All-Weather floor mats. It's complete with a state of the art tech package that includes auxiliary jacks, visual touch screen with audio/video player, voice automated calling and messaging." he sounded like a car salesman. I'd buy. "It to top it off," he reached in the car and pressed a button to the left of the steering wheel. The roof started to extend and I looked up and saw the evening sky. My smile got bigger as I stared up.
