This chapter didn't come out exactly how I wanted, but here you go. Bare with Skylar, he's hardheaded. The story is coming to an end. I've been thinking about a sequel. It would be set about two years after Jackson and Skye meet, so Skye's freshmen year in college (Jackson's sophomore year) What would you think about that? Please Fav, Comment, and follow.

When you make the top eight in national rankings a camera crew comes to your gym to give you an interview before you go into the finals. I've made the national team every year since I was in level eight, so I've met with a camera crew five times. They always the same questions.

"How do you think you'll finish?"

"Are you nervous?"

"How have you prepared yourself?"

David and I were called to the gym extra early to prep for our screen time. Since we were the only gym that had two gymnasts in the top eight I'm sure Bam's feeling herself.

Me wore our team jackets. Even though we felt it was unnecessary, a hair and make up crew did what they could to David and me. I didn't want to go first even though I was pretty use to the situation. I listened in on what the lady was saying and asking David. He was very forward and honest as he spoke. I think the fans of the sport love him so much because he's so humble and shows sportsmanship.

"Now David, you're one of the oldest competing on Friday night. In fact this is your last year competing as a junior national gymnast. Are you worried you'll end that chapter of your career not being on top?"

David rubbed his chin and looked off while he thought of a response.

"Well of course I want to win, everyone wants to win. If I do that'll be awesome, if I don't I'll live. If things don't turn out in my favor on Friday I'll still have college. The University of Nebraska at Lincoln recruited me. Maybe I'll end up on the senior team in a couple of years, who knows?"

After a few more questions she asked, "Who do you feel is your biggest competition?"

"That's a tough one." David chuckled. "Obviously Skye, Dmitri, Vic and Duncan, considering they're currently ahead of me. But I think it's still anyone's game." He answered ever so politically correct.

"Okay, last question. It's to my understanding that you and Skylar are pretty close. Do you think he'll live up to his reputation or fall short? I hear he's been having meltdowns and mental blocks ever since round two."

"Umm. That's not my question to answer." David said and avoided eye contact.

"I understand." She said followed by a quick closing statement. Once the interview was over David went off to get a little practice in. "Have Skylar ready in five minutes."

Someone put a mic on the collar of my jacket. My hair was down. They just fluffed it a little and let it fall. I have to admit I felt a little girly being pampered like that. When I was brought out to get interviewed the lady was already sitting in a chair sort of catty cornered from another chair that was for me.

I sat down. She didn't even acknowledge until the camera was rolling.

"Hello, I'm Hal Cantu from InterActive Tv. I'm here with three time National Champion, Skylar Bauer. How are you Skylar?"

"I'm well, thank you Hal." I said in my best polite tone.

"Forgive me, but I'm actually a little starstruck right now. I feel like I'm in the presence of a celebrity."

I gave a sentimental smile with a decent laugh. In my head I was thinking, "Bitch, hurry up and ask me these questions so I can take a nap."

"So, Skylar. Let's get right into things. Fans describe you as being the perfect combination of sass and class. We all fall in love with your firecracker like personality. Are you just as sassy at home as you are during competition?"
