Summary: based off the scene in 1x07, Veronica finds out you and Betty have started dating
When Betty found out that Polly was pregnant she went to you for comfort. After spending hours talking and trying to take everything in, she kissed you. You were caught off guard and she pulled back thinking she had made a mistake.
When you finally caught up to what was happening, you asked her, "are you sure this is what you want?"
"I'm sure of it Y/N," she told you confidently.
You smiled and kissed her again.

With everything happening in Riverdale you and Betty had decided to keep your not quite yet defined relationship to yourselves. It's not that you didn't want to tell your friends, it just wasn't a good time.
You were all hanging out in the student lounge on break trying to figure out where Polly could be. Without thinking about it you put your arm around Betty and she held your hand which was currently resting on her shoulder.
This gesture took Veronica, Archie and Jughead by surprise and they all gave each other a look of confusion.
At the end of break, Betty and Veronica left to go to class and the rest of you went your separate ways.
Veronica stopped Betty in the middle of hallway and asked, "did I just notice Riverdale High's very own Holden Caulfield put their arm around you?"
"So, the past couple of days I haven't been in a great place... emotionally. And Y/N was really... there for me," Betty said back.
"Oh my god, swoon," Veronica said excitedly, "okay, in that case if they helped my girl navigate through some turbulent waters, well then Veronica Lodge approves!"
Betty couldn't help but smile, she was glad her best friend was so happy for her.
"That'a girl. Now let's go find your sister."
