Request: Could you do a Cheryl x male reader where the reader is a Serpent and somehow transfers to Riverdale High. Once the reader is there, they become the talk of the whole school, drawing Cheryl's attention. The reader is very confident that he can get Cheryl to go out with him by the end of the week. The thing the reader doesn't know is that Cheryl likes him as well. Thank you!!
Monday morning you sported your usual leather Serpent jacket as you walked into Riverdale High on your first day after transferring from Southside.
Everyone stared and whispered as you walked down the halls and you weren't surprised.
Of course the preppy kids of this school would be shocked by their new Serpent classmate.
That day at lunch you sat by yourself at a table outside when a redheaded girl approached you.
"So it's true, Riverdale High does have it's very own Serpent now," she quipped sitting across from you.
This girl instantly intrigued you, "Do you have a problem with that princess," you grinned taking in her high-class attire.
She looked at you in disbelief, it was apparent she wasn't used to someone matching her cocky attitude that came with such self-confidence.
"Just stay in your lane Serpent, you may be the talk of the school but you don't scare me" she finally retorted standing up.
"You know, you didn't tell me your name, or even ask for mine, or would you rather continue to refer to each other as Serpent and princess?" you told her.
She took a deep breath before speaking again, "Cheryl, Cheryl Blossom."
"It's nice to meet you Cheryl Blossom, I'm Y/N," you smiled holding a hand out for a proper handshake amongst typical first meetings.
She rolled her eyes and started to walk away.
"Alright, well I guess I'll see you around then princess," you chuckled calling after her.
You watched her stride away from you and back to her friends.
'I'll have her agreeing to a date with me by the end of the week' you smirked thinking to yourself.
The rest of the week went by, you and Cheryl had easily fallen into a routine of flirtatiously teasing each other.
Everyone wondered when you would start dating already.
She acted as if she appalled by your confidence and natural charm.
You thought that maybe she actually wasn't interested in you but what you didn't know that she was just very good at pretending and underneath she was growing tired of waiting for you to ask her out.
Friday morning you saw her standing alone at her locker as you drew near.
"Good morning princess," you grinned as you leaned up against the lockers, "can I walk you to class?"
"What makes you think I need someone to walk me to class?" she asked shutting her locker door.
"Can't a guy just do a nice thing? I am going in that direction anyways" you laughed.
"Fine," she said as you two got on your way.
"So what's the big deal about the drive-in closing, no one in this part of town even goes to it anymore since the Serpents started hanging around there," you asked her.
"I don't know, Jughead thinks closing the drive-in is ruining the last of the great cinematic experience," she replied sarcastically.
"So... are you going with anyone?" you asked curiously.
"Why do you care," she retorted raising an eyebrow.
"No reason," you told her.
"Are you going?" she asked stopping in front of her first period classroom.
"Yeah, all of the Serpents are."
"Good, so you can be my date then," she told you taking you by surprise.
"You want me to be your date?" you questioned smugly.
"Well clearly you weren't going to ask me to go with you so it looks like I had to take the initiative," she said valiantly.
"I'll pick you at 6," you smiled.
"Good, I'll see you then... Serpent," she added before quickly leaning up to kiss your cheek and walking into class.
You were right, Cheryl did agree to go on a date with you within the week, it just didn't happen as you expected it to, but you were fine with that.
You had a date with Cheryl Blossom and a night with the princess and the Serpent was bound to be a good night.
