Request: hiiiii, could you do a jughead x reader imagine where the reader is trans (FtM) and really insecure about their body (maybe they are binding and not on hormones?) and jughead comforts them and its super fluffy thank youu

a/n: I didn't know if you wanted Jughead and the reader to be dating so I wrote in a way that could be seen as you dating or you just friends, whichever you want

Every morning you put your binder on and stared at yourself in the mirror.

Every morning you hated what you were forced to look at.

The guy with the feminine features.

The guy with the higher pitched voice.

The guy who couldn't grow any facial hair.

All because you couldn't be on hormones yet.

You threw your shirt on and headed off to school.

You paced down the halls with your headphones in to avoid the glances that came from your peers who didn't quite understand the way you were.

Even your friends started walking on eggshells around you since coming out because they didn't want to say the wrong thing.

The only person who didn't act any different around you was Jughead.

He didn't care when you told him you were trans, he quickly adapted to the name and pronoun changes and moved on with it.

Tonight the two of you sat on your bed playing video games, empty pizza boxes and soda bottles scattered on the floor.

You had just been killed in the game for the fourth time that night.

"You okay man, you're off your game," Jughead said still staring at the screen while mashing buttons on his controller.

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine," you told him unconvincingly.

Jughead picked up on the strain in your voice and paused the game.

"Talk to me Y/N," he said shifting on the bed to look at you.

"It's just been a rough day," you told him trying to get back to the game to avoid the conversation.

"A rough day or rough day," he asked emphasizing the later.

You took a deep breath, contemplating letting out your insecurities or keeping them bottled up like usual.

"I just wish it was all different," you said shaking your head feeling tears forming in your eyes, "you know, like I could look in the mirror and not hate the person looking back at me, that I didn't have to wear this stupid binder," you sighed adjusting the annoying piece of fabric under your shirt, "that people could just treat me like any other guy and not stare at me like I'm some kind of sideshow freak-"

Jughead pulled you into the tightest of hugs, rubbing calming circles onto your back as you tucked your head into his shoulder.

"Listen to me Y/N, I don't give a shit what other people say, you are as much of a man as me or Archie, I know it's hard now but one day you won't have to wear that damn binder and you can go on those hormones you tell me about and finally like the person you see in the mirror," he told you.

You sat there speechless at his words.

"When I look at you all I see is this awesome guy and I'm sorry not everyone see's you the way I do but that's their loss," he continued.

"Thanks Jug," you said smiling for the first time that day.

"Anytime Y/N, anytime."
