Request: Cheryl Blossom x reader: There was this perfect moment. This perfect moment where everything that I wanted was clearly in front of me... and I understood
It took you by surprise when Cheryl had asked you to be her date to the homecoming dance.
The days prior she had made such a big deal about going with Polly but right before the dance she texted you saying that Polly wasn't able to go and wanted you to escort her instead.
You didn't have a date and you had been trying to tell Cheryl about your feelings for her for a long time so you gladly accepted.
You two were sharing a slow dance, your hands on her waist and her arms around your neck and you couldn't help but think to yourself how beautiful the girl in front of you was.
"Y/N," she said breaking your trance.
"Yes?" you asked.
"You're staring," she smiled softly.
"Oh, I'm sorry," you laughed nervously, "you're just so beautiful it's hard not to stare sometimes."
Suddenly Cheryl dropped her arms and rushed out of the auditorium.
"Cheryl?" you called after her.
You followed her into the hallway, "Cheryl wait, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that."
She stopped in her tracks and turned to you, "but what if I wanted you to say that."
"Then why did you leave?"
"Because I have never cared about someone this much and it scares me," she confessed, "my entire life I had to make myself into the perfect daughter. I spent so much time trying to please others that I forgot who I really was."
"Cheryl-" you were at a loss for words.
"But there was this perfect moment. This perfect moment where everything that I wanted was clearly in front of me... and I understood," she continued.
"And what is it you want?" you asked.
She took a step towards you putting her arms back around your neck like when you were dancing.
"You."
With that she leaned in and kissed you.
You stood there for what seemed like forever, the dance long forgotten while you finally got to show Cheryl all of the love that she deserved.
