request: the reader has always been an outsider to Riverdale. Well, I guess you could say different. She'd always preferred to be "classy". Watching classic movies or listening to records. One thing the people of Riverdale do know is her never experiencing anything with a boy expect for friendship. the reader always knew that but she did't mind. But one thing changed for her life: Cheryl Blossom. The reader was very fond of her and Cheryl never realized. Until things took a turn for a reader: she liked Cheryl...No, was in love with Cheryl 25

Boys. Seemingly what every high school girl was talking about, all the time. Every conversation you overheard or were a part of was either about them or ended up being about them. And if you didn't already feel like an outsider, you certainly did now.
You were never worried about not liking guys like that; it made all your friendships easier and less dramatic. You were never involved in love triangles or stolen dates because you had no interest. You would often skip over the love songs on any records you listened to, or spend the entire duration grimacing at the cheesy lines and rolling your eyes whenever they said "baby."
You had always taken a liking to Cheryl. The two of you didn't talk much, but you were okay with it. You always became a stammering mess when it came to her, which usually made her smile and tell you to slow down. Cheryl was infatuating, to say the least.
But all feelings that you had for Cheryl (that you weren't even aware of) made themselves known on the night of the final drive in. Rebel Without A Cause was one of your all time favourite movies; you probably had every line memorized. You were sitting in the back of Kevin's truck with him and Veronica when Cheryl had invited herself in.
You didn't mind, in fact, it made your night better. Your body was pressed up against her's, and you could feel her chest vibrate every time she laughed at you for quoting the movie. Your heart was fluttering, even just having her beside you was enough to make you nervous. You had never experienced anything like it, so you brushed it off as the jitters you always got around Cheryl.
It was a Thursday evening, about two weeks after the movie. You had decided to listen to the cheesy love songs on your record, and you were glad you did. It helped you see that the nervousness, the fluttering heart, the shallow breathing, wasn't just because you were slightly intimidated. It was because you liked Cheryl.
In the weeks to come to attempted to get closer to the girl, and your nerves seemed to calm down when you were around her. Since you had discovered the reason for the nerves, they appeared to have disappeared.
Until now.
"Hey, (y/n)! Wait up!" Cheryl called as she walked out of her class, approaching you quickly. You shot her a smile, stopping so she could catch up.
"Hi Cheryl," You greeted, and the two of you began walking together.
"I need some advice," She started. "You listen to records, right?"
"Yeah."
"Well my nana gave me her old record player, and I was wondering if you could recommend some good ones? I mean, your taste in movies is great, so I assume your taste in music is as well," She explained. Your fingers began to twitch nervously, and your heart began to pound in your chest.
"I, uh, I mean." You took a deep breath. "Of course."
Cheryl smiled. "Great! Come over tonight, and bring your records!"
She kissed your cheek before walking off, leaving you red-faced. You quickly rushed into the washroom, staring at yourself in the mirror.
Were you in love with Cheryl Blossom?
