Chapter 21: Finally

Lauren's POV:

I sat in the waiting room, my parents stood next to me and Ally sat next to me talking to me. My leg kept shaking as I grew more and more nervous. They've held her in there for 2 hours. I just want my babygirl in my arms again.

"It's okay Lauren. She's gonna be okay." Ally said.

"I need to leave the room. I can't sit here." I stood up and left.

My family knew better than to follow me so they left me alone. I walked out of the hospital and headed towards the smoking section. There was a man smoking.

"Can I have one?" I asked.

"Sure." He said shrugging.

I took it from him and thanked him. He lit it up for me as I hummed at the familiar taste. I smoked, taking a while to make sure the taste lasted. The man handed me a mint and nodded walking off.

Once I finished it I took the mint into my mouth and sucked on it. I walked back in the hospital as my phone started going off. I pulled it out of my pocket and answered it, not checking the ID.

"Lauren?" Oh no.

It was Camila. I hung up instantly and I walked back to the waiting room. Ally was sat looking at her phone as my parents watched her. I sat next to her and laid my head on her shoulder. She ran a hand in my hair and hummed.

"She'll be okay Laur. I promise." Ally whispered.

I nodded believing her.

"Jauregui?" The doctor called.

I leaped out of my seat and stood up.

"Yes!" I yelled at him.

"Come with me." He smiled sadly.

I followed instantly, like a puppy. I walked in the room to find my little girl sat up in bed playing with a toy. My face lit up in happiness, she was okay. My baby is okay.

"Miss Jauregui. Your daughter had a serious asthma attack, the trigger was from the crying which caused pressure and so on. The only advice we can give is make sure you have an inhaler on you constantly and also that you make sure she doesn't get this bad again. In two weeks if she isn't fully okay then please come back. We know from her records her lung is smaller so we need to keep the pressure off. For now we prescriped some medication, some light doses of exercise, 3 times a day give her an inhaler then some well deserved rest whenever she needs it. This will only last a week. She can be discharged once you fill in the forms. Merry Christmas." He explained.

I nodded my head understanding then smiled.

"Merry Christmas." I said back.

"MOMMY!" I heard Y/N yell.

I rushed over and smiled seeing Y/N look so happy. She started babbling on about this toy, I stared at her in awe. My little baby is okay. She is safe.

"Lauren here mija." My mother said walking in the room.

She handed me the release forms and I signed them quickly but made sure it was right. I handed them back and smiled at Y/N.

"Nawa?" She asked.

"She's at home buddy." I said.

"Otay." She mumbled putting her finger in her mouth.

"Ah ah baby." I said gently pulling it out.

She started whining then rubbed her eye with the same hand. I rolled my eyes and smiled at her.

"Yes Dinah. The child is fine." I heard Ally say.

I look over and she was on facetime with Dinah. I laughed a little and stared at Ally.

"But I want proof! It's scary that my little niece is in hospital." Dinah said dramatically.

"Fine." Ally looked over at me for confirmation.

I nodded and she walked over turning her phone to face Y/N as she whined from being tired.

"Hey Y/N." Dinah called.

Y/N looked up then looked at me. I smiled and pointed to the phone. She tried to hide so I got up on the bed and sat her in my lap. She giggled and played with my fingers.

"Hey Dinah." I said smiling.

"Hey Laur." She smiled sadly.

"Next week my parents said all of you can come for a late Christmas. Like 5H Christmas. I wanted to ask you each then ask you all something on skype." I explained.

"Yeah sure. I should be able too." I smiled happily.

"I was gonna say on skype but I can't wait. My family own a beach house so we're gonna stay there. But you can bring the kids. Like your siblings." I smiled widely as her whole face lit up.

"Are you sure you can handle that? Have you seen the amount of kids I have to bring? Normani has her sisters, Ally litrally has no one. You have wait is Chris going!?" She yelled excited.

"No. He's on holiday with his friends. Sorry Dinah." I laughed.

"Wait Dinah. You like Chris!?" Ally said in shock.

"What me? No?" She blushed bright red.

"Ew. Dinah. Ew." I said shaking my head.

"What? Not like he's gonna out. This stays between us 4." She says in warning.

"6 honey." My mom pipes up.

"Please tell me that's a nurse. Not your mom." Dinah looked concerned.

"It's me honey. Trust me. Chris likes you just as much." Dinah squealed.

The doctor walked in and handed me some medication and two new inhalers. I thanked him then got off the bed helping Y/N into my arms. She clinged to me and I cringed at the fact her diaper was extremly full. That's gonna be annoying to her and I didn't bring a diaper. I sighed and rocked her, hoping if she fell asleep then it'll be less annoying to her. Soon enough she fell asleep. I sighed and kissed her head making sure she was asleep before I carried her out. My dad covered her in his jacket and I thanked him carrying her out. We all got in my dad's car and he drove us home. I held onto Y/N as she whimpered in her sleep.

When we got home I carried Y/N out as Tay came out to come meet me. She took Y/N from me and walked inside as she handed me my cigerette box.

"Thank you." I whispered.

"Welcome." She smiled.

I sat on the porch and light up a cigerette, I smoked for a little, calming myself down from everything. I spent a while outside till I felt someone sit next to me.

"You know that's bad for you right?" I heard Ally say.

"Yeah...but it calms me from everything. Y/N, Laucy, Camren, management and this girl I like." I shrugged.

"Oh. You like someone? Who?" She sounded dissapointed

"This girl. She's really pretty. I've liked her for ages but she's a friend and I don't wanna be awkward. She's not even gay because she had a boyfriend. I just wish she'd stop sending mixed signals and just let me kiss her." I mumbled.

"Lauren..." Ally said.

I looked up at her and I smiled sadly until I felt her hands on my cheeks.

"I love you Lauren."
