Chapter 93: Discuss

Lauren's POV:

We sat on the couch debating my daughter and what was going to happen from now. Jasper was sat opposite me as my mom sat with me, she held my hand as the officer spoke. 

"Jasper from your prospective why do you believe Lauren is an unfit mother?" They asked making me roll my eyes.

"She tours constantly and is never home for Y/N. Y/N thinks she has three mother's because Lauren can't fucking keep her own legs closed. She the-" He got cut off.

"First warning." The officer spoke.

"Whatever, she hits her and leaves her for a while. Did you know when she comes home from tour her own kid has no idea who she is? Plus Y/N hasn't even gotten an education because they can never stay in one home. She did drugs for fuck sake! Probably in front of the kid!" He yelled.

"Lower your volume and now explain why Y/N should go into your care." The officer spoke writing something down.

"I have a steady job, my wife and I can take care of her, giving her a real home, school and making sure she's safe. I don't travel for work and my wife stays at home so she's always with someone." Jasper glared at me.

"Miss Jauregui...why isn't Jasper fit enough for having Y/N in his care?" The officer turned to ask me.

"He only now comes into her life, he begged to have nothing to do with me and when I became pregnant. He paid for child support then stopped, not even giving a penny to her. She doesn't believe she has a father because he never wanted to be there. She finds more comfort in my friends than in the thought of him being her father." I spoke softly.

"And why should you have her?" The officer asked.

"I have more than enough money to support Y/N, hell I have a college fund ready. My parents look after Y/N when I can't and when I am home every moment is spent with her. My family and friends spend loads of time with her, hell they are all best friends with her. She knows basic language for her age and hell, she's learning how to write by a tutor. I didn't want her to go to school till I finished tour of this half." I explained.

"You finished tour." Jasper said.

"And how am I supposed to focus on Y/N when you come to ruin it huh?" I argued back.

"She could have gone!" He backfired.

"She can't if her mother is arguing with you because you had to get involved. Do you pay for Lily huh? Do you still see her? No, because you tried to come crashing in like this and you were denied. You're an unfit father." The whole room went silent.

"I think this concludes today's session...you can leave." The officer spoke after a few moments.

I walked straight out, getting into my mom's car as she slowly walked over, she was talking to the officer in charge and I wasn't in the mood. She drove me to Demi's smiling when I invited her in to come see Y/N. I walked in yelling a hello before hearing fits of giggles from the living room, I followed the noise seeing Y/N holding Nala in her arms and dancing to worth it.

"Hmmmm, is that my song?" I asked making her turn and run to me.

I picked her up kissing her head as she cuddled into me, she clung to me, her body moving a little. I just held her, my heart exploding with happiness because my baby was back in my arms.
