Evan rushed around the kitchen,"Are you excited about your first day of kindergarten, Emily?" He asked, smearing peanut butter onto some toasted bread. He did the same with another piece of toast but with jam. "Yes, Papa! I'm so excited. I hope Danielle is in the same class as me." The little girl chirped. She stirred her cereal before scooping it in her mouth. Evan laughed at his little girl.  "I hope so too. Either way, I'm sure you'll love kindergarten." He gently combed his hand through the little girl's hair. Just then the small child in the chair started to cry. Evan sighed,"Just a minute, Pumpkin. I know you're hungry." He began to pack up the little lunch into a paper bag and wrote a quick 'I love you' on the front. "Connor! Hurry up or you'll be late to work." He called out. He folded over the top of the paper bag and set the lunch to the side. He picked up the crying baby boy and bounced him in his arms. Connor came out, hair neatly pulled back and tie slightly crooked. "Is Sean crying again?" He asked, taking the baby from Evan's arms. Evan smiled and pressed a kiss to Connor's forehead,"Your tie is crooked." He reminded, straightening out the fabric,"And don't forget the social worker is going to come over at 4:00 to inspect the house again. Don't be late." Connor nodded and moved to sit down at the table. Evan pulled a bowl of oatmeal out of the microwave and set it in front of Connor,"Busy morning. I promise eggs tomorrow." He smiled. He kissed his head and moved back towards the pantry. Connor bounced the baby boy on his knee,"Are you ready to be a big brother, Sean?" The baby only babbled back. Connor smiled and kissed his small nose sweetly. He lifted a small pile of oatmeal to his own lips and swallowed it down. He only looked up after a loud clatter and a small 'oops'. Emily was scrawled out on the floor, bowl upside down and milk all over herself. "I'm sorry, Daddy. I just wanted to help. I know how busy you and Papa are..." she said in a defeated voice. Connor only chuckled and stood up, putting a now claimed Sean in his highchair again. Evan came running from the pantry,"Is everyone ok? Did anything break?" He asked in a panicked voice. Connor nodded,"Emily just tripped." Evan sighed and walked over to Emily, squatting down and picking her up,"Let's get you changed while Daddy cleans up." Evan said. He carried the girl to her room where he changed her into a ladybug dress. Connor quickly cleaned up the milk on the floor. Whenever things like this happened, what other people would call a ruined morning, Connor called being blessed with a loving husband and two rowdy kids whom they loved more than anything. Evan held onto his little girl's hand as he lead her into the kitchen again,"I present, Miss Emily." He smiled and let go of her hand. Connor was throwing away the soiled paper towels when Emily jumped onto him. "Don't I look cute, Daddy?" Emily grinned. Not all of her teeth had come in and she had gaps. Connor gently tapped her nose as he held her up with one arm,"Of course. Let's get you to school." He said. He could eat breakfast at work. He grabbed her lunch and her book bag, putting the Miraculous Ladybug themed bag over his shoulder. Evan meet them at the door smiling and kissing Connor's lips. "Another perfect morning in the Hansen household. Well done, baby." Connor congratulated. "Have a nice day at work." Evan smiled. "Take care of our son." Connor said.  They both exchanged loving smiles before Connor loaded his little girl into the car and drove off, waving to Evan through the window of the car.
