How Can I Love My Enemy?

Chapter 9

I blushed at his words and felt a weird tingling sensation in my stomach. He leaned down so that his face was only a few inches away from mine. His actions made me blushed more. I was sure that I looked like a dork.

He put one of his hands on the armrest of the chair and the other on my cheek. I felt sparks where he touched me. He leaned in slowly so our faces were only an inch apart. I looked into his eyes and knew that he was my mate.

I waited for me to tell him to go on, so I nodded slightly. He placed his lips on mine and kiss me. It was gentle, but full of need and want.

The kiss lasted only a few seconds because he pulled away. I sat there shocked at what he just did, as he leaned his forehead against mine.

"I, Nick Jones, accept you, Alex Carter, to be my mate."

"And I, Alex Carter, accept you, Nick Jones, to be my mate."

He leaned in and kissed me again. I wrapped my arms around his neck, while he wrapped his around my waist. Our kiss turned into a full on make out session, but was cut short when someone opened the door to the basement. We immediately stopped what we were doing and went to see who was down here with us.

We left the library only to find Ben and Jerry here. Without food. It was already noon, and we still haven't gotten anything to eat for lunch.

"Come on Nick, let's get you out of here. Vanessa is having a party tonight, and you're invited." Ben told Nick, completely ignoring the fact that I even existed.

"No."

"What do you mean 'no'?" They said together.

"I mean no, I'm not going to hang around the school whore anymore. I've found my mate. Something you guys wouldn't know about."

"You found your mate? Who?" Jewry inquired.

"Alex."

"Dude, your mate is our sister? And you accepted her as your mate?" Ben looked completely shocked when he said that.

"Didn't see that one coming." Jewry mumbled.

I went to walk away, but Nick slide his arm around my waist and pulled me into him. They were having a conversation, but I stopped listening. The only thing I heard was Nick telling them not to tell anyone else about 'us'.

They left when Tent, one of Nick's other friends, came down with our lunch. Yum, hotdogs and fries. We sat down on the couch in front of the TV and ate our food. We ended up watching movies until dinner.

When dinner was given to us, we scarfed it down. Nick then put in the Breakfast Club and we cuddled. About half way through the movie, I feel asleep in his arms.
