How Can I Love My Enemy?

Chapter 16

Riley ran up to me and pulled me off of Nick and she helped me over to couch. Katie ran over to me and gave me a hug and looking me over.

"Are you ok, Strawberry?" She asked.

"Yeah." I replied, embarrassed that they knew about last night. We both jumped when Riley and Nick started yelling at each other.

"You're such a cunt, Nick! I can't believe that such a stupid person is the Alpha's son! Did you even think about what would happen to Strawberry when you did that?" Riley yelled not even a foot away from him.

"Oh, I'm the stupid person? You don't even know what happened last night! Of course I was thinking about Alex, she's all I can ever think about! And how dare you call your future Alpha stupid!" His alpha-voice made me cringe, but Riley didn't seem phased in the slightest.

"I don't have to know what happened last night to know that you're using her for her body! And I don't care if you're Alpha or not, I'll call you stupid if I want because that's what you are!" Riley and Nick's fight made me want to hide in a corner and not come out. They were both furious.

"Get out of my house!"

"I wouldn't miss the opportunity for the world!"

Riley stormed over to Katie and I and wrapped my arm around her shoulder. She motioned for Katie to do the same, and she did. They helped me up and we started to walk towards the door.

"What the hell do you think you're doing!" Nick yelled.

"You said to get the hell out of your house! So if this is your house then Strawberry doesn't need to be here!"

"Being her back to me this instant!" Nick said once again using his alpha-voice, making me cringe. Riley and Katie obeyed and walked me back to Nick. He grabbed my waist to hold me up as Riley and Katie held their heads down in submission. I have them sympathetic smiles as they left the house. Once they left, Nick picked me up bridal style and walked back upstairs to our room.

"I don't like you talking to my friends that way." I told Nick.

"I don't care if they're your friends or not they need to know their place."

"I know but now they're gonna be mad at me and then I'll be lonely when we go back to school."

"You're not going back to school."

"What?"

"Because you're the Luna, you need to be protected at all times. Which means no school."

"That's not fair."

"You're not going to school and that's final."

"Fine." I pouted as he set me on the bed and tucked me in. I fell asleep also almost instantly.

I woke up covered in sweat not remembering anything from my dream. I looked at the clock and realized that it was ten.

Did I really sleep for that long?

I tried to get out of bed, and, of course, fell over. I was able to get bed onto the bed this time though. I picked up my phone and called Riley and Katie on a three-way call.

"Hey." Katie and Riley said at the same time with the same giddy attitude.

"What are you planning?" I questioned them cautiously.

"Nothing." Riley said.

"Yeah, what she said." Katie sneered.

"Meet me at my tree house in ten. Give or take a few minutes." I laughed, "Or maybe a little longer for me, but still, I've got something awesome planned."

"Kkz."

"Bye." We all giggled together.

I hung up the phone and got dressed. I wore a pair of black basketball shorts and a black tanktop. I managed to walk out of the house without much pain. I shifted into my wolf because it would be faster.

My wolf was completely black with silver covering my right ear and some on the top of my tail. I was bigger than most wolves but smaller than the alphas. I ran to my tree house and was there in about ten minutes.

Katie and Riley were waiting for me when I got there. They smiled evilly at me and tied me to a chair. Riley walked over with seven make-up cases and so many hair products I couldn't count. Katie walked over with a rack of clothing and anything else that had to do with beauty.

After two hours, my hair and make-up were done. Katie and Riley scrambled around trying to find an outfit for me to wear. They giggled holding up something so I couldn't see it. Riley turned around with black 6 inch heels. The heels were slid into my feet. Riley untied me and Katie turned around holding a strapless, black dress. They helped me into the dress. I immediately wanted to take the dress off when I realized that it was shorter than mid thigh.

"You're wearing it." Riley threatened.

"Fine." I said, giving up the argument because with Riley, her bad side is not something you want to see. Riley jumped out of the tree while Katie helped me down. We walked in the direction of my house. Before we even got there, I could already smell sweat and alcohol and I could hear the music. It was now that I realized that they were also dressed for a party.

Great we're going to a party, and to top it off, it's at my house.

We walked in the door and saw that it was crowded. Riley walked off to go get a drink and left Katie an I standing in the doorway. We walked over to the couch and say down. As soon as we did I saw that stupid slutty that waited on Nick and I at the café on my birthday. I can't believe that she came here, she's not even from our pack. I was taken from my thoughts when I heard Katie whisper something to herself.

"Mate."

She got up and left me sitting on the couch alone. I got bored and went to the middle of the living room where the dance floor was. I started dancing solo with the girls at first, but then moved to dancing in a pair with random guys.

After an hour of dancing and drinking, I saw Katie. I walked, more of stumbled, over to her. As I got closer, I saw her with Ben. I watched as they made out with each other.

Guess they found their mate.

I walked around some more until I saw Riley and Jerry sucking on each other's face. I gave up with my friends and went back to dancing. I danced solo once again, until I felt someone's hands snake around my waist and pulled my into them. I knew from the sparks that it was Nick. We danced until three, when the party started to calm down.

We went our separate ways when Ben and Jerry called Nick over. I went to find Riley and Katie, but ended up in the bathroom puking in the toilet. I left the bathroom and saw Nick and the waitress snogging in the middle of the living room on the dance floor. More people showed up while I was in the bathroom, so they were soon screened by people.

I ran up stairs and into mine and Nick's old room. Once alone in the room, I cried. I cried until I couldn't and then changed into a black shirt and a pair of white skinny jeans. I slipped on a pair of black vans and packed everything else that was mine in the room. I cried it down the back stairwell and into the backyard. I loaded all of my stuff into my white Lamborghini and drove off in the direction of my parents house.

I opened the door to the house and walked inside. My mom instantly came running down the stairs followed by Rick and my dad. My mom engulfed me in a hug, and I started to cry into her shoulder. My dad and Rick didn't know what to do and stood on the stairs awkwardly.

My mom, Rick, and I walked up to my old room, while my dad went back to bed. My mom left us when I refused to talk about why I was crying. Rick comforted me until I ran into the bathroom and puked again. I stayed by the toilet until the contents of my stomach were spewed into the toilet. I rinsed my mouth and want to the bed. Rick stayed with me until I feel asleep.
