"Nick! Selena!!" Chuck yelled as loud as he could.

He was in a panic. Nick shouldn't have let Selena run off when they were on high-Ethan alert.

Nick and Selena soon came running.

"What? What happened? Is someone hurt?" Selena said as she quickly examined both Chuck and Sarah.

"No. We are fine. But there is a problem." Chuck said as he frantically dug through his pockets.

"What?" Nick said.

"Ethan." Chuck said gloomily.

Selena breathed in a cool winter air as she slammed the front door of her house.

She couldn't believe Nick. It took her ages to warm up to him. To confess her past to him. The night she opened up to him, he had promised her that he wouldn't make the same mistakes her parents did. She could always trust him with everything, and He would be always honest with her. No lies. 

"Big fat lies." Selena spat as she stomped her way to the park. She was still furious with Nick.

Selena made her way to an empty bench and brushed off the piled snow.

It was cold, and she wished she had a thicker coat with her. But then again, she didn't really have time to pick out a thick coat, now did she? She just had to get out of there. Before she said something she would regret later.

As she sat on the bench, she started to think. Maybe she was too harsh with Nick. She should have listened to what Nick had to say first before she ran out of the house. Her face reddened as she recalled the event. She had yelled at Nick in front of all the guests. She even left them there alone while she was being emotional. It was just too humiliating. She should have asked Nick to talk after the guests left.

Selena stood up abruptly. She should go back home before the guests leave. After all, Nick had never introduced her to his friends before.

She started walking when far away, she saw two people hugging each other. It was Nick and Selena. 

Selena hurriedly hid behind a huge tree. Why were they hugging? 

Selena had never been confident about her relationship with Nick. After all, Nick was special while she was...Ordinary. There was nothing special about her. She had a crappy family history, she wasn't beautiful while Nick was Something. Nick was charming, handsome, elite... She was really surprised that someone like Nick actually liked her back. 

'It was all too good to be true.' A small voice nagged at her from the inside.

No. Nick loved her.

"Did he? Just look at how he is staring at her. You are no match for her. She is confident and beautiful. You, on the other hand, are worthless. You always rely on Nick on everything. He is sick of you." The small voice kept on saying.

Selena wanted to cry. Nick really did look at Selena with love. She felt dumped. It was all her fault. She shouldn't have yelled at Nick. Nick was all she had, and she lost him.

"Shame really." A man's voice came from behind.

Selena abruptly turned with surprise.

"I always knew you were too weak. You are really no match for my brother." The man kept on saying.

"Who...Who are you?" Selena said.

"Me? Wow, you really are dumb as you look. You just heard my name not too long ago, and you already forgot it." The man said, staring at Selena with distaste. 

"Ethan?" Selena said, unsure. So THIS was Nick's brother? He looked nothing like Nick. 

Nick always had a warm smile, with cute dimples. While this man...He looked cynical. There wasn't any trace of a smile on his face, and his eyes seemed to mock her.

"Bravo. You finally got that one right." The man mockingly clapped at her.

"What do you want?" Selena asked, gripping her coat.

"What do I want? No. The question is what do you want." The man said.

"I want nothing from you." Selena spat. She just wanted to go home.

"Going home. huh? Leaving my pretty bother over there with her?" Ethan said with a smirk.

"There is nothing I can do." Selena said. How the hell did he know what she was thinking about?

"Fine by me. I want my brother with her rather than you anyways. I would just like to say that it's all your fault if you lost him. Because you never fought back." Ethan said.

Selena scrunched her fists. She wanted to fight for Nick. Nick was everything for her. 

"So the princess wants to fight back now huh? But it's already too late." Ethan said.

"No." Selena whispered.

"Yes. But I can change that." Ethan said as he leaned on the tree.

"You can?" Selena asked.

Ethan gave another smirk at that. "Just hold my hand sweetheart."
