The three of them went roaming in the park.

"This is going nowhere." Chuck groaned as he kicked a rock that was in his path. The rock didn't even budge. Chuck hopped around holding his foot, seething in pain.

"Are you okay?" Selena asked as she went to Chuck, helping him to the bench.

"That stupid rock." Chuck mumbled as he glared at the rock. 

"Stop Clowning around." Nick snapped.

"What's his deal? Someone woke up on a wrong side of the bed today." Chuck said in a low tone. Selena giggled at that.

"I heard you." Nick said, giving an evil eye at Chuck. They soon came across a forked road.  

"We have to split up in Twos." Nick said, eyeing Selena.

"Oh. Okay. I'll go to the right path with Sarah." Selena said, smiling.

"No!" Chuck and Nick both said. Selena frowned at them. "Why not?"

"You don't know the path of this park. You can get lost. And it will be hard to find you guys since we don't have any devices." Nick said.

"What he said." Chuck said, crossing his arms.

"Fine then. Who will go with whom?" Selena said.

 "Why don't you come with me?" Nick said, warmly.

Chuck opened his mouth to protest. "Eep!" Screamed Sarah as she rushed to Chuck, hopping on his back. 

"Guess I'm stuck with this little booger, Aren't I?" Chuck said, looking blue.

"Take care of her." Selena said as she started walking to the right.

"Right." Chuck said as he started going to the left, with Sarah still on his back.

Nick and Selena started to walk in silence. 

"So. Selena seems nice." Selena said, trying to break the silence.

"Yes. She is." Nick said, smiling at the thought of her.

"Sorry if I'm prying, But why didn't you tell Selena about your brother?" Selena asked. Nick's eyes went instantly cold at the mention of his brother.

"As you might have guessed, My brother and I. We are not exactly buddy buddy with each other. He was always blaming me for all of his faults since childhood, and my parents all believed him, not even trying to hear my side of the story. Whenever he saw what made me happy, he would take it away from me in an instant." Nick said, staring ahead but not at the path. He seemed to look into his past, reliving each memory.

"So you know why I wanted to keep Selena a secret from Ethan. When Selena asked me if I had any siblings, I said no. Because to me, Ethan isn't my family. A family doesn't play sick games with each other, trying to ruin one's life." Nick said, gritting his teeth.

Selena just stared at the path, absorbing what Nick had just told her.

"I know what you are thinking. You are thinking that it's extreme of me to not think of him as a brother. That I'm being overdramatic and I have to forgive him eventually." Nick stated.

"I can't really say that. I'm in no place to judge you." Selena said.

"What do you mean?" Nick said, frowning.

"Do you know why Sarah and I live together without any guardians?" Selena asked. Nick shook his head.

"When my parents died in an accident, we had no money left after the funeral. Our father's family had always hated us because they thought my mother wasn't enough for my father.  So when my parent's died, they blamed my mother and us for everything. That we were the cause of his death." Selena said, tear dropping on her cheeks.

"I'm-" Nick started to speak, but Selena cut his words with her own. "I'm not finished, Nick. I have to let it out. I didn't tell anyone about this."

"I was furious with them because Sarah was only a baby then. She shouldn't hear that kind of garbage from her own family. " Selena angrily muttered.

"Because I was of a legal age, they just left us to fend for ourselves. Even though they knew we needed help. I got every job I could get, and worked overtime 24/7. I barely slept, and just focused on giving Sarah a warm home." Selena said.

"You shouldn't have gone through all of that." Nick said as he stopped walking to hug Selena.

"Neither did you. Just being related by blood doesn't make you family. So if you really don't think of Ethan as your brother, you must have your reasons." Selena said, hugging Nick back.

Their hug was soon interrupted with a yelling.
