When my consciousness began to come back I could only sense one thing, that was the warm arms wrapped around me. I forced my eyes open, and with blurry eyes I looked up to see nothing, but a blob of dark hair and pale skin. "Nine?"
"Oh! You're awake!" He seemed startled, and tried to move, but I laced my arms around his torso.
"It's so cold... where are we?" I could feel him calm down, and he took a deep breath.
"We're in the northern part of West Virgina. Well, we better get Sleeping Beauty up."
"Wait. How long have I been out?"
"Two days." He replied, almost as if it was nothing.
"Two days? I didn't wake up at all? Not every hour?" He looked down at me, confused.
"What the hell are you talking about?"
"N-Nothing." I moved away from him, and he walked toward a door. My eyes began to adjust as I looked around, we were in a shitty house, decaying wood and what not.
"Dude! Get up! There's a ton of stuff we need to do!" Nine waits a moment before kicking the door open. "Seriously, bro. Get your shit together. We need to get out of here."
The boy stumbled out of the room, and I tried to stand, but I just collapsed again. The boy fixed his eyes on my for a minute, and Nine kind of pushed him towards me. "I don't believe we officially met." He spoke.
My eyes darted up at him. "You have some sort of... fire power?" It was the first thing that came out of my mouth. My mind was in a jumble right now. He simply nodded. "I'm Ten, or (Y/N) if you prefer."
"I thought Ten died."
"Wrong. She came here with her Chimæra. Remember I told you this yesterday when you were awake." Nine spoke for me.
"I don't remember half the things you said," he groaned. "I'm Four, or John."
"Nice to meet you, John."
"We're going out for a walk. Coming?" Nine asked, cracking his neck.
"I... I can't my legacies are a bit out of whack right now. Also I can't stand. I'll just stay here."
"Suit yourself, let's go Four." They head out and I'm left alone in the dying house.
"It's just like the old times," I speak to no one. "Back when we were together." I suddenly realized I was talking to Bion, self consciously. My heart ached at the memory. I realized that my hand was holding something tightly, I opened my hand to see the leather collar I'd made Bion. "I won't ever forget the things you've done for me."
I took the collar, and tied it to my wrist and closed my eyes, sitting in a meditation position. Breathing in and out made me feel more calm and collected. The smell of the wood made me cringe occasionally though. My head was pounding as my scream became heavy in my throat. The boys had only walked about a quarter of a mile out and then stopped.
This caught my attention. I couldn't hear what they were saying, but could only imagine. Suddenly, John headed right back towards me. I used the wall to stand, and I had to lean against it for support.
The door burst open and John began to tear the place apart, looking for something. Shortly after Nine jogged in after him. He had tied his hair back, and I wasn't going to lie, it looked cute and made me blush, but I thank god he didn't come close to noticing. "Nine. Where'd you hide my chest?"
"Look under the kitchen sink." He replied. John quickly moved to the sink, and right as he was about to open it Nine yelled, "wait, Four! I made a-"
John opened the cupboard doors flew open, and John fell backwards. "Trap!" Nine finished. Suddenly several sharp sticks were shooting at him, and I used my legacy to make any blows harmless. John also used his telekinesis to stop the majority of them midair. While several other bounce of the walls. One landed between Nine's shoulder blades, but he didn't even flinch.
"Shit." I groaned as my head ache became a sudden migraine. My knees gave out, and I was back on the floor, clutching my head. Nine let out a small growl as he felt the stab from the stick now that I'd lost focus. He yanked the stick from his back, and tossed it on the ground, but he placed that rock from before on his back and the wound healed.
"You good, Ten?" My breath had been knocked out of my lungs, and my eyes felt heavy, my head was pounding violently, but I lied, just nodding as I tried to regain my breath. "So sorry, dude. I forgot to tell you I rigged that up."
John focused on using his telekinesis to pull the other sticks out of the wall, and Bernie Kosar began to growl at Nine. John pointed all the sticks at Nine. "You don't sound sorry."
"Enough!" I yelled, flinging my hand in a half circle, the surroundings changed to Lorien again. It was the one I could remember the best. I could see it in John's and Nine's eyes, they were terrified to be back. "I won't tolerate you two going at each other's throats. Not at a time like this. Once this war if over you two can kill each other for all I care."
Our surroundings change back to the house, and I held my hand to the side of my head. Putting pressure on my temple. "Shit."
"I really did forget." Nine sighed, like a little child. "Anyway, grab your chest and get in here. We have to jet, so start pulling your stuff together."
While the boys were gathering their chests I forced myself to stand, and I stumbled outside. The air felt thick in my lungs, but the breeze was freezing against my face. I placed my hands on my head, and tried to take deep breaths. I suddenly gagged and threw up onto the ground, and collapsed against the wall of the house. My entire body was shaking, I was weak and disoriented. I've never felt so sick after using my legacies.
Usually I'm granted a severe migraine, which I was getting random flares of, but not the real thing, yet. My legs were close to giving out under me, and just the thought made me sick. I felt myself gag and I closed my eyes.
Click.
"Move and I blast your head off."
"Shit." I groaned.
