Nine's P.O.V.
I've been here for... well long enough. Haven't had any damned action since... well, yeah. My fingers spread out evenly on the dirt, sighing, I grabbed a handful of dirt, then let it slide out of my fingers. "Bored, bored, bored."
"WELL, GET OFF YOUR FAT ASS, NINE!" I screamed at myself. Then I face palmed. "Talking to myself again... shit. I'm going insane."
I flopped down onto my stomach, waiting for the guard's route, to hear their shit about what's been happening outside. "Don't let the brat go!"
"She won't stop squirming! Grab her other arm dammit!" I lifted my head up to see two guards dragging a girl who was squirming.
"Well, well, well." I grinned.
"There's no more empty cells!"
"Just put her in that one." The electrical barrier went down, and I quickly jumped to my feet, and ran towards the exit. But no. The fucking mogadorians, threw the fucking girl at me.
"Oof! Shit!" I screamed as the barrier went up. The girl scrambled off me with great difficulty, and I snapped my head towards her. She coward in the corner with a cloth in her mouth, and her wrists bound together. "Oh..."
"MPH!" She seemed to be screaming at me, but I really couldn't tell.
"Are you trying to tell me something?" She rolled her eyes, and tried to move the cloth by rubbing her face against her shoulder. "Do you want me to get that for you?"
She nodded quickly and I moved towards her, and moved the cloth from her mouth. "Untie me!" She screeched, kicking me in the gut.
"Damn! Okay, I'm untying you!" I began to untie her wrists as she glared at me with her (e/c) eyes pouring into me, making me uneasy. After I finally figured out how to untie the knot the rope fell to her feet, and she grabbed her wrists.
"Where am I?"
"A cell. Obviously." I stood up and walked to the other side of the cell, leaning on the wall.
"Where's your shirt?"
"Burnt up a while ago when I tried to break through the barrier," I tossed my thumb towards the exit.
"Where Bion?"
"Who?"
"My Chimæra! Who else would it be!?"
"Chimæra? What's that's?"
"I need to get out of here!" She jumped to her feet and stood a few centimeters away from the barrier.
"You can't get out of here. I swear I've tried-"
She opened her mouth, and screamed. It wasn't just a normal scream the walls started shaking, and I had to cover my ear, because the scream was going to leave a god damn ringing in my ears.
Slowly she stopped, and the electrical barrier went down. My eyes widened as she grinned, and slipped between the bars. "BION!" She screamed.
I fell to my knees. What the hell?
An hour later she was thrown back into the cell with me. She bounced to her feet just as quickly as she fell. She slammed against the electric barrier, only to be thrown backward. "LET ME SEE MY FRIEND YOU FUCKING BASTARDS!" She yelled.
My eyes moved over her face, there was blood covering her neck, and I realized her voice sounded hoarse. "Why don't you just play the same damn stunt?"
She glared at me, placing her hand at her bloody throat. "Can't. They damaged my larynx."
"Your what?"
"Voice box, dumb ass." I rolled my eyes and sat up straight while she sunk to her knees in front of the barrier. The silence that was suddenly between us made the question in my head scream even louder. Who the fuck are you?
"I go by, (Y/N)."
"Huh? How'd you know I was-"
"You just said it loud, that's how hard you were thinking." She smiled a bit. This was actually a genuine smile, it was kind of weird to see. "But my real name is Ten."
"What!?"
"And based off of the scars on you ankle you must be either Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, or... Nine? Are you Nine?"
"I... uh, Ten died... on Lorien. They didn't make it."
"Wrong. I didn't make it to the first ship. I made it to the second escape pod. It was small, and I was alone aside from my Chimæra. I don't have the charm on me either. So you don't have to worry about the others. Your ass is still safe for now."
"What? How are you still alive?"
"I got that legacy when I got to Earth. Along with this one." She held her hand out and grabbed a chunk of dirt, rolling her eyes she dropped it and leaned against the wall. She closed her eyes and breathed out, suddenly the cell around us turned into the living room from the Hancock building. "I can create illusions. I can also alter feelings of materials to either make them hurt more or less."
"Well, that could have come in handy a while ago." I groaned, slamming my head into the wall, which instead of feeling hard packed dirt it felt really soft like a pillow. My eyes glared directly at Ten, who's hand was held out, and fingers spread out.
"You should stop trying to hurt yourself."
"Damn, you're annoying. I mean how are you still awake, you have these legacies that seem very high maintenance and you're bleeding from your neck with an injured voice box-"
"Thank you for listing everything I already know."
"...Anyway. My point is how have you not lost consciousness?"
"This is the third time this has happened this month. I'm used to having a harder time than you guys. The nine of you got it off easier."
"EASY!? To hell with easy! We were chased the second we got to Earth. We had to find a place to live, come up with names-"
"You think that's hard? Imagine not having a Cepán. Imagine not being able to pay for food, not having that chest you guys got. Having these legacies you don't know how to control? I couldn't live in civilization because I was a bomb. I couldn't even try to blend in. I... you know what? I can't even talk to you. I'm going to sleep."
She laid down and turned away from me.
Damn... is this real? Or is this Setrakús Ra playing with my fucking head again?
