Chapter 5

Kristel's POV

We bid the two boys goodbye, and Vanessa drove us to her place.

We ordered three boxes of pizza (that was our dinner) and sang karaoke until we were hoarse (which was probably due to the fact that we all sang Girl On Fire by Alicia Keys at the top of our lungs).

I also accidentally started a pillow fight at some point.

"So Kristel, how's lovelife? I mean, life." Vanessa said. Kate laughed, and I just looked at her.

"What?" she asked, still giggling.

"What?" I asked her as well.

"Nothing! I just thought there might be something you're keeping from us. That maybe deep inside you're feeling some pain." Kate said, emphasizing on the word 'pain'. I knew what she was thinking. 'Payne'. Vanessa giggled.

"You are so corny!" I told my sister.

I rolled my eyes and turned to Vanessa.

"I do not have a crush on Liam Payne!" I said to them.

"Oh sure... We all know you have as much of a crush on Liam Payne as Vanessa has on Harry Styles." Kate said.

I blushed.

"Hey!" interjected Vanessa, her eyes and smile both widening.

Harry Styles is one of Liam's rich and popular lot. Vanessa met him at a party she and Liam were invited to, and had been crushing on him since.

"Alright, alright! I guess I do have a bit of a crush on him." I confessed.

"Told 'ya." Kate said, smiling.

So I smacked her with a pillow.

It was already around 1am when we let ourselves subside.

"Okay..." I thought as I lay. "It's just a crush. I do not have feelings for him. I can't."

Louis's POV

We were eating our breakfast the next morning when I decided to ask Liam again. To ask him why he was avoiding us. But I also decided to start the conversation lightly.

"Kristel texted me this morning. She was asking if we had any plans for today, 'cause Vanessa wanted to go malling and they're inviting us to come along to watch a movie or something."

"Tell her we'll pick them up in thirty minutes." He said, and I texted Kristel just that. "You don't mind, do you, mate?" he added.

"Me? Of course not!" I told him. "There's just something I wanna ask you. Why have you really been avoiding us this past week?"

"I'm not sure I can tell ya that now, mate." he said.

"Well, when will you tell us?"

"When I think it's time."

Kristel's POV

Just as I was about to go downstairs, I saw Liam's car pull into the driveway.

"They're here!" I told the other two girls.

When I opened the car door, I saw Louis in the driver's seat and Liam riding shotgun. Louis's eyes were wide and Liam was roaring with laughter.

"Hey,boys. What's up?" I asked them.

"Hang on a minute. You can get in." Liam said.

I slid to the other end of the car, behind the driver's seat, and the others followed. Vanessa was sitting between me and Kate.

Louis got out of the car, and he and Liam exchanged places. Liam drove us to the mall.

Since we just ate breakfast, we decided to watch a movie. The lads wanted to watch Captain America: The Winter Soldier but Vanessa insisted we watch the film adaptation of Veronica Roth's Divergent.

After the movie, the boys were denying that they liked it. Especially after Kate cracked a really corny joke about the main characters.

We all agreed to just meet outside the cinema again at noon for our lunch.

We went shopping and went back to the outside of the cinema at around 11:45. We arrived before the boys did and we saw them coming our way. I saw Louis stuff something into his backpack as Liam ruffled his hair, laughing.

We had our lunch and went home after. Liam drove us to each of our houses.

Kate and I spent the afternoon watching more movies at home. At some point, Mum even sat down and joined us.

That night, as I lay in bed, I tweeted:

I remembered something, so I texted Louis.

Me: What was that thing you placed in your bag before lunch?

Louis: What thing?

Me: Oh c'mon, the package? That thing wrapped in brown paper? That thing that I assume you bought somewhere when we separated after watching the movie?

Louis: Oh... That. :) Don't tell Vanessa, okay?

Me: Sure. I won't. :)

Louis: I bought a copy of Insurgent.

Me: Ha! I knew you liked it! Hahaha! :D

Louis: Hahaha! :D Liam actually offered to buy it for me, but I wouldn't let him. So he promised to buy me Allegiant when I'm done. Well, good night, Kristel!

Me: Good night, Louis. Sweet dreams.

A.N: So, how were the last two chapters? :) Two confessions were made... Louis's crush on Kristel, and Kristel's crush on Liam... Liam's still not telling them anything... Kristel's thoughts before she fell asleep that Friday night... Why was she in denial? We'll all find out soon. :)
