Louis's POV
I decided to just go to our next class and make the most of their not noticing anything. On the way there, something was bugging me.
I hated Liam, I know that. Wait no, I'm just angry. He's still my best friend. Then I remembered...
-Flashback- (Author's POV)
Back in third grade...
"C'mon Louis, let's sit with 'em!" Liam said as he pointed excitedly to the table where Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, and Niall Horan were sitting.
"Uhh... Okay." Louis said.
So the two of them walked to the table.
"Hey, guys." Liam said with a smile.
"Hey Li-" Harry Styles said, but one look from Niall Horan shut him up. He rolled his eyes.
Niall looked back and forth from Liam to Louis, his expression unchanging.
Then he looked at Zayn, raised his eyebrows, and laughed. Zayn smirked, then shook his head at Louis, and chuckled.
"Got a problem?" Liam asked, suddenly serious.
"No, but you do." Niall said.
"I see you do. I shouldn't have asked in the first place." Liam said, as he pulled me to a different table.
"No! No, you shouldn't have!" Niall called out to us.
...
Summer before fifth grade...
Louis was pedalling as fast as he could. Niall, Zayn, and Harry were on their bikes as well, hot on his trail.
They caught up with him, and he fell. His bike was on top of him. The three were standing around him.
Zayn grabbed Louis by his collar. Then somebody spoke.
"C'mon, guys. Give him a break."
Liam was on his bike, looking at them.
Zayn just let go of Louis and Niall rammed his shoulder onto Louis's as he passed. They got their bikes
and followed Liam.
...
First day as freshmen...
Louis and Liam were standing by their lockers, waiting for Kristel Clifford, and Niall and his gang passed by them.
Niall and Zayn were looking straight ahead, but Harry looked at Liam and raised his eyebrows as a sign of saying hello.
-End of flashback-
Louis's POV
He was the one who stood up for me. Yeah, he befriended those idiots, but he left the group that summer before high school started.
He's like my brother. I don't know if I'm angry or not. But I know I don't hate him. Even after finding out that they've been keeping something from me. I don't hate him for it.
And Kristel? I don't think I could be angry with her. It just hurts, the fact that she could look me in the eye as if she wasn't keeping some big secret from her best friend.
I didn't feel like attending class, so I went to the park. Yep, badass. I'll just tell them I wasn't feeling well, if they even ask.
And guess who I ran into at the park...

A.N: Hey, guys. :) I know there's barely any dialogue here, but I'm really focusing on Louis's thoughts. I hope you don't mind.
Sorry I haven't been able to update much, sorry this one's short, and sorry for the really sloppy update last time. I hope I can make it up to you...
