Kris brings her hearing ability to good use.
(Kris pauses for a few moments in front of Karen's door)
Kris: If Gramma was in her room, I would be hearing loud 50's music blasting from the stereos.
(Puts her ear to the door)
Kris: I can't hear anything, she can't be sleeping here. She never sleeps in her room, just in the study... or in the basement... or in the bathroom... or in the kitchen... or in the living room... or on the roof... or in the yard- You know what? She sleeps everywhere except her own room.
(Walks towards the kitchen door)
Kris: So, ok. Speedy and Sophie are in the kitchen. If Gramma was there she would probably be teaching them something about culinary stuff or helping them cook something. Her lessons are either very noisy or serious depending on the weather.
(Looks out the window)
Kris: It's cloudy out. Cooking lessons on cloudy days are always explosive.
(Kris cups her hand on her right ear)
Kris: No explosions. I just hear the two of them. They're talking about pots and pans. I think.
(Kris goes to the garden)
Kris: Is she were here, I would hear her talking to the plants, or talking to herself in general. (She goes inside again)
(She approaches the study)
Kris: If Gramma were here, I would be hearing 40's music from her phonograph, or crying. I don't hear anything. She's not exactly a quiet person. That means there's only one place left to check.
(She walks towards the end of the hallway, to the door leading to the stairs to the basement)
Kris: I can't hear any sci-fi noises. Although the basement is soundproof... but I'm not allowed in there unless I have permission. She did summon me after all... but I might see something slimy and weird...
(She thinks for a few moments)
(She shrugs)
Kris: Eh, I've seen weirder things.
(She climbs down the stairs)
Kris: Gramma, you in here?! Hello?!
(Walks through the colorful vats, she passes by a younger clone of herself... she shudders)
Kris: Bubbles told me you wanted to talk to me!!
???: Kris, honey, is that you??
Kris: Yeah! Where are you?!
???: I'm over here, pigeon! Near the work desk, you know where that is right?
Kris: Yeah, I'm almost there.
I forgot to post this a long time ago... oh well.
