"WHAT!?" Everyone asked simultaneously.

"Yea, I have been feeling sick and nauseous, had weird cravings,and an enlargened appetite for the past few days so we went to see Connie's mom, Dr. Maheshwaran, and she said those are symptoms of pregnancy. But to be sure she gave me a pregnancy test, and it turns out, I'm pregnant!" Lapis seemed so excited to tell the story that when she finished she finally calmed down which caused peridot to calm down.

Steven started crying.

"I don't want to lose you!" He sobbed

Connie looked puzzled.

"What does he mean 'lose her?'" She asked Greg quietly.

"When a gem is pregnant they have to give up their lives so that the child can exist." Greg whispered to Connie.

Peridot heard what Greg had said.

"WHAT!? LAPIS HAS TO DIE?!" She shrieked, voice cracking, tears forming in her eyes.

"I don't want you to die!" Peridot said sobbing.

They all gathered around Lapis and hugged her, knowing that she only had nine months left.

Lapis was seven months pregnant now, she had been living with Steven for the past two months, just in case something happens, she wants to be near the gems.

Lapis and Peridot share Steven's bed and Steven has been sleeping on the couch if he even sleeps at all.

He is so worried about Lapis. He doesn't want to lose her.

He fought so hard to keep her alive and now she is two months away from death.

Connie comes over every day to make a healthy breakfast for all and to just hang out. She has grown very fond of Lapis and Peridot.

"Do you think that when we have kids you will have to die?" Connie asked watching Peridot and lapis in the kitchen.

"When we have kids? What do you mean? Were not even a thing."Steven replied.

"Um well... uh, I mean if you ever decide to have kids with someone, maybe me, maybe not, will you have to die?" Connie said as she was turning red.

"Connie?" Steven asked with a smirk on his face

"Hmm?" 

"Do you like me as more than a friend?"

"Maybe" she said as she averted her eyed from Steven to the mess that peridot and lapis had made while trying to bake a cake.

"Well I 'maybe' like you as more than a friend too!"

At this point Connie was as red as a tomato.

Connie hum-laughed but was surprised to feel a hand grab her chin and pull her into a kiss.

"Wh-" she tried to say as shock filled her body but quickly turned into enjoyment before,

The sound of a camera shutter interrupted the moment.

"And that is going in the so called "scrap book" or as I like to call it photo and pieces of paper document." Peridot said pulling the instant print photo out of the camera.

Both teenagers were very red.

"Um I'm gonna go I'll text you later." Connie said gathering her things.

"Okay" Steven said as she walked out of the door.

"She's good for Steven." Lapis said in a motherly tone.

"Yes very good!" Peridot said.
