"I Love You"

Everybody had a room in the temple by then, but everybody was in Lapis' room. It was cluttered, like the barn, but it still had much room. Peridot had her own room that was connected to Lapis' room by a small tunnel but peridot usually slept in Lapis' room (if she slept at all). But today Lapis was the only one in her bed and she was in pain. Both physically and emotionally.

Emotionally because she was about to give up her physical form so that her child may live.

Physically because, well... she's having a baby!

Peridot's hand was getting squeezed like a lemon, but she didn't care. She only cared about one thing,

Lapis.

Connie was helping Lapis through the pain, seeing as her mom has taught her a few things from work.

"Okay Lapis, breathe with me." She said as she started to breathe steadily as an example for Lapis.

"We should start saying our goodbyes, I never truly said goodbye to Rose. I don't want you guys to have the same regrets with Lapis." Greg said sadly.

Lapis felt very weak but she called her friends over to her to say goodbye.

"Garnet"

"Yes Lapis?" Barnes asked with a slight quiver in her voice.

"Thanks for letting Steven give me a chance." Lapis said, tears rolling down her face.

Garnet gave Lapis a quick embrace before Lapis called another one of her friends up.

"Amethyst."

"Yeah Lap?" Amethyst asked in her normal laid back tone but with a slight voice crack.

"Thanks for teaching peri how to joke!" Lapis said before a small laugh.

They embraced and Lapis moves on.

"Pearl." 

"Lapis?" Pearl asked with tears in her eyes, remembering Roses death.

"Protect my baby." 

"Of course." 

They embrace and move on.

"Steven, Connie."

"Yea Lapis?" They asked in unison.

"Steven, thank you for releasing me and healing me!" 

"No prob Bob." Steven said in a sad tone but with a small laugh, causing Lapis to chuckle.

"Connie, I want you and Steven to be the godparents of my child."

"Of course we will!"  They say in unison as Steven Higgs Lapis.

"Greg"

"Yea Lapis?" 

"Thank you for leading Peridot and I stay in the family barn."

"Well, you're family!" He said with a very small chuckle before walking away.

"Jasper."

Jasper left Greg's side and walked over to Lapis, nervous of what she was going to say.

"Yes Lapis?"

"I forgive you."

At this Jasper reared up. All the things she did to Lapis, she felt that she didnt deserve forgiveness but she was recieving it anyway.

"Lapis I'm so sorry! I-" Jasper began but was interrupted by Lapis.

"Jasper it's okay! If you had not done what you did, I wouldn't be here today and my baby wouldn't exist! So thank you!" 

Everyone gasped as Lapis started glowing.

"Peri"

Peridot was next to Lapis silently crying.

"Yes?" She asked sobbing.

Lapis' words were whispy and echo-ish as the places her hand on Peridot's cheek and spoke her last words.

"I love you!"
