Moon continued to chase winter for hours no matter how much it hurt. Soon they were flying over the sea with no land in sight. "What's that sound?" thought moon as she looked behind her. What she saw made her go pale and that's pretty hard to do because she is a nightwing.
"Winter!!!!!" she shouted at the top of her lungs as the sound got louder but the wind prevented him from hearing her. Soon the storm was on top of them. KABOOM!!!!!!!!!! Went the first lightning strike about a mile away. The two flew faster. KABAM!!!!!!!!! Went another four feet from moons tail. Moon flew as fast as she could. The third lightning strike showed true. With a kabam like a nuclear bomb it split in two and hit moon's wings. Winter turned around just in time to see her plummet from the sky. "MOON!" he shouted diving after her. He wasn't going fast enough, she was going to hit the water. Winter tucked in his wings as far as they would go and dived for her. Right before she hit the water winter grabbed her shoulders and spread his wings as far as they could go. Moons claws scraped the water before they came back up six feet into the air. Winter sped up when he saw land in the distance. His wings began to wobble. Lightning striked a couple of feet from his tail. They started to go down. Just before they hit the water winter turned over so he would take the impact. With a boom they hit the water as the storm raged on.
I am sorry that most of my chapters are short but I think they really give you that mental picture.
