And We Meet Again...

Chapter 12

Gabs's P.O.V.

I see Lizzy quietly talking to Ciel about something, but I couldn't make out what she was telling him. I see Ciel leaving the room and he tells the other servants to finish working.

"Also, Gabs, Lizzy would like to speak with you for a moment." He says as he leaves me alone with his cous- I mean fiancée. "I'll return once I finish my paperwork to join you both for lunch..." With that, he closed the door.

I look up to see Lizzy who is looking at me with her emerald colored eyes. "So where are you-"

"What do you want with Ciel?" She asked me with a mean glare. I was a bit taken aback from her sudden change in tone.

"Eh? W-what?"

"You heard me..." she seethed, giving me a look that could kill me. "There's something he likes about you, isn't there?"

"I-I don't know what you mean... I'm only here with my sister working as his assistant..."

"Oh shut up! That is just a pathetic excuse," she snapped, "it's obvious my Ciel hired you more than just for work, I can tell by the look in his eye. I just don't see what he sees in you that makes you so valuable..." Okay now she's really annoying me... I hardly know her and she's already making these assumptions about me!

"Listen. I have no idea about what's going on between you and my master but you need to talk to him about this-" all of a sudden I felt something hit me hard in the face.  My cheek stinging and now bright red, I looked up to see that Lizzy had slapped me. Seeing the evil expression upon her face only one word could exactly describe how I felt at this moment: fear.

I didn't know what to do or where to go... no one was in the room and no one could hear us. I couldn't even fight back no matter how much I wanted to, for I was only a mere servant and could get fired for such actions. Suddenly I was snapped out of my shocked state as I felt Lizzy grab me by the collar looking at me dead in the eyes.

"Now you listen to me you little brat, you better back away from Ciel or you'll face even worse consequences..." with that she dropped me harshly on the cold hard ground. When I believed that the worst was over she kicked me on my left side. I was going to bruise there for sure. I-I just want to go back in my room... Suddenly I get pulled off of the floor rather harshly.

"Get up," Lizzy snarled, "and go to the bathroom you look pathetic. And you better not say what happened or else." Those words sent me off scrambling for the bathroom. I really didn't want to know what else she had in store for me. I just wanted to be alone and somewhere safe. I don't know if I can sit with them through lunch. After running down the hallway past the other servants without making them notice I run to the nearest bathroom, lock the door and cry. I really hope no one finds me here...

Third Person P.O.V.

"Hmph... serves her right..." Lizzy mutters under her breath as she hears a knock on the door. "Oh, come in...~" she says in a fake happy tone as the door opens to reveal Sebastian.

"My lady, lunch is prepared and my master awaits for you and Miss Gabs." Suddenly Sebastian notices Gabs missing.  "Speaking of which, where is Miss Gabs?"

"Oh the maid? She just told me she had to use the restroom and that she'll meet us outside for lunch."  Lizzy easily lied making it sound smooth.  However, Sebastian looks at Lizzy a bit suspiciously seeing that she spoke so smoothly.

"Alright... just follow me to join the young master then..." he says as Lizzy walks behind him going to Ciel.  As he leads her to the table outside in the garden he can't help think that something feels odd.
