And We Meet Again...

Chapter 11

Ciel's P.O.V.
I sigh and groan in annoyance as I Sebastian leaves my office. Why does she have to come here today? Then I remembered: she's my fiancée. I understand that Elizabeth is my cousin, but to be honest I do not think of her as my wife. She constantly barges into my manor like she owns the place and she forces my servants to wear ridiculous outfits!  It really frustrates me when she does that, and I don't think I can contain my anger any longer.  I just wish I could be with someone who understands me... Someone who is humble and actually cares for others...

As I ponder a bit at my wish I was brought back to reality hearing a certain voice screech throughout the manor.

"Great, here we go again..." I mumble to myself as I sigh.  I get up to go see Elizabeth downstairs.  I hope she didn't add any 'cute' accessories to my home or to my servants...

Gabs's P.O.V.

I sigh as I walk out of the kitchen with nothing to do. It seems as if everyone is taking care of things and they don't want me to help, which is odd. I thought I was hired to help around the household, not just lounge around like a guest. *Maybe I can see what sis is up to...* Just as I was about to go upstairs, the main doors busted wide open to reveal a girl with blonde curly hair and green eyes. With a loud, high pitched voice she yelled out "I'M HERE!!!!"

Her voice made the other workers scramble out of the kitchen and bow down respectfully. I picked up the signal and bowed down to show respect as well. "Good afternoon Lady Elizabeth!" we all greeted as she walked down the main hall and I feel her eyes look down on me. I shake a bit nervously not knowing what is going to happen. Hopefully she won't say anything...

"Why, hello there, you must be new.~" She said in a sweet tone with a smile on her face.

I shakily look up to see her face and nod my head quietly. There's something about her that makes me scared.  She seems to be friendly, but there was a certain look in her eyes that didn't match with the rest of her happy expression.  However, I didn't want to be rude so I mustered up enough courage to reply.  "Y-yes, I am milady.  I-it's a pleasure to meet you... I-I'm Gabs..."

Her green eyes lighten up a bit as she looks at me with a pleasant smile on her face, "Gabs... that's a pretty name..."

I begin to relax a little seeing the smile on her face.  Maybe she's really nice...  "T-thank you milady."

"Oh please, called me Lizzy!"  She said with a giggle. "You're just so adorable when you're shy!" She squeals with her high pitched voice, causing the others to cringe while I feel my cheeks heat up with embarrassment. However, I remain smiling at her gently.

"T-thank you, Lizzy..." I say bowing slightly.  Just then a set of footsteps can be heard coming down the staircase. I look up to see Ciel who is a bit surprised to see me with Lizzy.

"O-oh hi Ci-"

"CIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLL!~" Lizzy squeals as she pushes me away running to my boss and giggles as she spins him around like a rag doll. I couldn't help but giggle a bit seeing that Ciel didn't expect her to do that.

Ciel's P.O.V.

Once Elizabeth stopped spinning me around like a crazy person I took a minute to regain my balance. "E-Elizabeth what are you doing here?"

"Oh Ciel how many times have I told you to call me Lizzy?! Elizabeth is such a boring name..." my cousin pouts childishly.  I refrained myself from rolling my eyes. I really wish she could be quiet sometimes...

"And I came to visit you silly!" She giggles while hugging me really tight. "What kind of fiancée would I be if I don't make time to visit my future husband?!"

I pale a bit hearing that sentence and hesitated as I saw the expression on Gabs's shocked face.  That's right, I didn't tell her....

Gabs's P.O.V.

*F-Fiancée?*

I couldn't stop myself from looking so shocked.  Ciel did tell me he had a cousin named Elizabeth, but he never told me about them being engaged. I understand that it is customary for nobles to marry relatives to keep the bloodline pure, but for some reason my heart hurts. However, I had to pretend like the words never fazed me so I just put on a gentle smile and tried to break the awkward silence. "W-well I should set up the table for lunch... after all this is my job..."

"Already done Miss Gabs," Sebastian says as he appears with the table nicely prepared. Since when did he get there? And how does he finish everything so quickly? Oh well, I guess I'll figure that out later. As I was about to say something else the tall butler suggests, "Why don't you stay for lunch? It is break time for the workers anyway." Seeing that I can't really leave the scene I give in.

"A-alright I can eat lunch with the others in the kitchen..."

"Or you can have lunch here with us..." Ciel said unexpectedly.  Everyone looked at him questioningly, including me.  Why would he want a servant like me to sit with him? Wouldn't that make Lizzy angry?

Ciel's P.O.V.

Everyone looks at me shocked by my words.  Why did I say that out loud?!  Well, I have to think of something quickly.  So I simply cleared my throat and said, "Well you haven't actually got to know Lizzy quite well yet, and I thought this would be a good way to get to know you better..."

I watched Gabs as she hesitates for a moment before shyly replying, "O-ok..."

I smile a bit, feeling relieved and a bit... happy... Wait, Ciel! Pull yourself together! You can't act that way in front of her you're already engaged!!! I sigh a bit sadly remembering Elizabeth and how she might react to Gabs... I don't think she could be mean to anyone, could she?

I put my thoughts aside as Elizabeth tried to get my attention.  "Hm?"

"I was just asking if I could speak to Gabs in private for a moment?"  She asks me with a sweet smile. For some reason I had an odd feeling about her request. I mean, she does make others do ridiculous requests but I've never actually seen my cousin hurt people.

"Alright." I finally answered letting them have a moment to talk privately. What could possibly go wrong?
