It was planted into my brain as a child
that teenagers are far from mild.
I thought they were so angry
and never ever dandy!
Now I am one though,
I was told lies, now I know.
I don't know anyone who's a grump,
no one who has the hump.
You think we're annoying
stupid, vandals, and constantly spawning,
sex - crazed, horny, always sleeping,
will love to be on TV or that sort of thing.
Well we're not all like that,
some of us aren't fat!
Some of us have smarts,
have a passion for the arts!
The elders are easily persuaded,
because their brains are faded.
But what about the children?
They're thoughts are 1 in a million!
Why can't we teach them
that teens are actually a gem?
Why can't they be taught
don't you think they ought?
We're only grumpy from exams,
right before our summer plans
we'd be more socially active!
And maybe more attractive!
But society has forced us
to slap on make - up and turned us to sluts!
If we weren't stereotyped so heavily,
we could talk more levelly.
Generation with generation,
we could be loved by the whole nation!
We could understand each other
and be as clean as the cliffs of Dover!
Would society allow this?
Or is this counted as cow piss?
Am I going to be considered
as another ranting teen? Yeah go figured!
Why do I even bother with you people?
