The first thing I saw when I regained my consiousness was pitch black darkness.

As usual. Nothing to be surprised about.

The familiar smell of a hospital entered my nose as I started to inhale deeply.

Wait...

Hospital....!?

"Oh? You woke up." A voice called. It took me a moment to realize who it was.

Mr. Wristband

His voice really changed a lot.

"Uhm... yeah..." I stuttered, rubbing my forehead. "What happened?"

"You walked straight into a pole, remember?" He answered.

I tried to remember what happened earlier but all I got was excruciating pain in my forehead. "I can't remember."

"Shh... don't overexert yourself. You don't have to remember it anyway." I heard him chuckle as he pat my back gently.

His laugh really changed.

"Why are you laughing?" I asked, raising a brow at him.

"It's just that..." he continued, "you look so funny with that read forehead of yours."

My hand automatically shot up to my forehead but before I could even touch it, a hand stop mine.

"Don't touch it. It's badly swollen. It'll hurt." Somehow his unfamiliar voice soothed me.

I nodded and silence then followed.

"I guess we should get you home now, since you're alright, I think." Mr. Wristband suddenly blurted out.

Confusion was plastered on my face. "Home? I though we were just about to go to the mall?"

"Well, you were out for a couple of hours so..."

I widened my eyes. Hours?

I reached out for his arm and grabbed it. "How long was I out?"

"Since it's already 8pm, and we went out around 2pm, let's say, about six hours?"

I gasped. "It's that late already!? Mom's gonna get worried!"

"Don't worry, I already told your mom about what happened." He assured me. I heaved a sigh of relief.

"Now all I need to do is to get you home safely, right?"

"Yes."
