*Yoshiko's POV*
I woke up with a start and looked around. I was in my room but I was alone. Maybe I'm dead...ha. I barely laughed to myself then got out my bed, hissing in pain. I lifted my shirt and saw a couple bandages on wounds on my stomach, but most attention was to a wound on my arm and leg.
There were bandages on my whole left arm. I wondered why it was on the whole thing but I shrugged it off, studying my leg. It was wrapped from the top of my thigh to my knee. Nothing was bleeding, but it sure hurt since it hadn't completely healed.
I didn't bother changing out of the sweater and shorts I was in, and opened the door to leave. I couldn't find anyone in their rooms, and I kinda started to freak out. Maybe I am actually dead...wait, calm down Yoshiko. You haven't even checked downstairs.
I stumbled down the stairs and went to the kitchen. The moment I got there I saw 6 pairs of eyes, staring at me. Reiji was the only one not there. We were all silent for a while. They stared at me, I stared back. Then everyone's face lit up.
"Yoshiko!" "Yoshi-chan!" The triplets yelled then they all tackled me in a hug.
"Ow ow I still hurt." I whined but laughed and hugged them back. "Hey boys...how long have I been out?"
"Maybe 5 days." Ayato said, though smiling.
"Teddy has missed you." Kanato said, holding out Teddy to me. He let me hug the bear like I had them.
"I missed Teddy too. Thank you Kanato." I normally didn't address Teddy; I learned the hard way not to do that. But sometimes Kanato would let me, and now he told me it was okay if I did.
I smiled at them then looked at Yui. She was crying again. I sighed and walked over to her.
"Why are you crying again, baka?" I grinned and for once, hugged her first. Everyone was a little shocked, but they smiled at us. Yui hugged me back, then wiped her tears.
"I'm just glad you're okay and didn't die." She let out a little laugh. I messed up her hair a bit then looked at Subaru. He had his arms crossed as he sat on the counter.
I grabbed his arm and pulled him down, causing him to blush a little. I hugged him and giggled. He started to protest, but gave in and returned the hug.
"Did you miss me, Tsunbaru~" He just rolled his eyes, crossing his arms again.
I then looked at Shu. He hadn't said anything yet as he leaned against the counter.
We had a staring contest, of sorts, and the stare didn't break even as Reiji waltzed into the kitchen. Then Shu held out one of his arms, for me to hug him.
I went to him and wrapped my arms around him, burying my face on his chest as he put his arms around me in return.
"You actually scared me." He mumbled, sighing. I looked up at him and whispered a 'sorry'. He connected his lips with mine as a response. I swear I could hear Reiji roll his eyes and Subaru and Yui blushing cause everyone was watching.
When we pulled away, I heard a couple 'aw's and then I had to prepare myself for teasing. Instead, Reiji said something.
"You know, I've never seen the deadbeat do anything but sleep before." He stated, referring to Shu. I asked him what he was talking about and then the others slowly gave some sort of agreement to what he said.
"The whole time you were out he couldn't even sit down." I giggled at what Yui said and looked at the blonde. He looked away.
"Whatever. But to be fair, you stopped breathing a couple times." Shu retorted, slightly embarrassed.
"Teddy and I thought you were dead!"
"Yeah, you scared me too, Yoshi-chan."
"Even "Ore-sama" was scared." Subaru added, rolling his eyes at Ayato.
"Shut up!" Ayato yelled back, glaring slightly. I laughed at them.
"Well sorry guys." I smiled sheepishly. I realized they were eating and decided to join in myself. Reiji informed me that the monthly dinner was postponed to tomorrow, because I hadn't been awake. I was also told I wouldn't be going to school for a bit.
"I am perfectly fine to go to school!" I protested. I threw my arms up in disbelief.
"You literally said you still hurt earlier. Don't lie." Kanato said, looking at me.
"Yeah I know but I'll be better in a couple days, I'll be fine." I smiled wide but then I felt Ayato yank my left arm. I yelped cause it hurt pretty bad. He said that I just proved that I shouldn't go to school.
I growled at him and started chasing him around the kitchen. We didn't stop until Shu grabbed me and Yui stopped Ayato. I pouted, crossing my arms, and stood next to Shu.
I wiggled my eyes brows when I saw Ayato and Yui. "So are you guys dating now~?" I smirked when they both blushed a little. I looked at Laito to confirm it, he smirked back.
"You should have heard what I heard, Yoshi-chan~ Through the whole mansion you could hear them, I'm surprised you didn't wake up." He laughed evilly.
"N-Nothing like that happened! L-Laito, stop lying!" Yui stammered, blushing madly. Ayato just smirked.
"Ayato is giving it away, Yui. No need to hide it~" I laughed alongside Laito as we kept teasing them.
"Don't make fun of them, Yoshiko. Who knows what you and Shu do when you 'train'." Actually, I would run away before Shu ever "trained" me. Either way, I was surprised to find that Subaru said that, laughing a little, but definitely blushing.
"I'm asleep for 5 days and now you got jokes, huh?" I went to Subaru and reached up, putting him in a head lock. I knew he was gonna get mad but I just laughed.
"Get off me! You're lucky you're hurt or I would beat your ass." He pushed me off, glaring, but trying not to smile.
"Sure you would. I won last time anyway." I crossed my arms, smirking triumphantly. Then I felt two hands on my hips. I was pulled back into Shu's chest and he leaned down to my ear.
"You're really lucky you're hurt or we would be 'training' right now." He whispered, smirking. I blushed and started squirming.
"Hentai~ Let go of me!" I tried not to laugh as I attempted to pry his arms from around my waist.
"Nope."
"Shu, let go~!"
"Stop being loud."
"Stop holding me!"
"I don't have to listen to you."
"So I'm supposed to listen to you!?"
"You're mine, remember? So shut up." We argued back and forth until Reiji told us both to shut up.
"You're already like a married couple~" Laito teased. Shu and I both glared at him and told him to shut up also.
We all had our laughs then slowly started going elsewhere. I was sitting on my bed, smiling a little. It felt good to not have to worry about my father. Though I remembered what he told me before he died. If that wasn't the final fight...then what was?
I thought this would all be over. Kaden and Jiro would be happy. The 8 of us in the mansion would be happy. It was supposed to turn out good; but now I'm only worrying about my fathers' words.
I buried my face in my hands. I hadn't even noticed the door open, as Yui slipped into the room. I felt her sit next to me and I looked over at her. I tried my best to smile.
"What's wrong...? You killed your father, isn't that what you needed to do?" She asked, realizing I was worried.
"It is what I needed to do. And I'm relieved that I actually did it but...I don't think it's over." I told her, looking away. Who would I still have to fight? He was the only one trying to ruin everything; so why wasn't this over?
"W-What do you mean it's not over?" She asked, shakily.
"I..I don't know for sure but...when I killed him he told me something. He said that I'd gotten stronger, but that it wasn't my last fight. I don't know what he means but if the situation comes up where I have to fight again, I have to do it."
"Yoshiko, are you crazy? You aren't even healed yet and you're already ready to fight again?" She sighed and looked at me, "Are you sure that's what he said?" I nodded and looked away.
I didn't want to fight anyone again, but if it was for good reason I'll do it for sure. Obviously I could die, depending on who I'm fighting, but I told myself I needed to do it. Maybe I'll wait for Kaden to show up. He can tell me.
I told Yui that I wouldn't train as hard as I did anymore, as long as Kaden or someone didn't show up telling me something was wrong. She wanted to argue but she could tell I was serious and let it be.
She stayed a little longer, just talking with me, before leaving to rest. I watched her leave and realized I was bleeding through the bandages in my arm.
I called for Shu and he helped re-wrap my arm, then my leg, and then my stomach. Though he put something on it to heal it before each time. I thanked him and closed my blinds as it was morning.
I had gotten used to it being dark, and sleeping on the vampires' time. Shu casually removed his shirt then laid down on my bed. I blushed when I noticed and went to my drawers.
"Why are you shirtless?" I blurted, as he sat up.
"Why were you staring?" He smirked. I denied even looking at him then grabbed a tank top and pajama shorts to sleep in.
"Turn your head, I need to change."
"I've already seen you naked. Remember, I gave you a towel." He smirked, not moving.
"Shu!" He chuckled, giving in, and turning to face the other way. I quickly changed and walked to the other side of the room, to put the clothes in a hamper. I heard the blonde chuckle.
"Do you ever match your bra with your panties?" I blushed and hurled the sweater in my hand at his face.
"I told you not to look! And how would you know if I ever do that? And why does it matter!?" I growled and snatched the sweater from off his head, actually putting it in the basket this time. He only laughed at me.
"Well, you should match them when I take you out." He laid back down and closed his eyes. Shu? Taking me out? I don't have to force him outside? I must be dreaming.
"Since when were you taking me out?"
"Since today." I just sighed, blushing and laying next to him. He pulled my back into his chest, wrapping an arm around me. We were quiet until he smirked and broke the silence.
"Make sure to wear those black lacy--"
"Stop looking through my clothes, pervert. Now shut up and sleep already!" I blushed furiously.
"Alright, alright." He chuckled before finally being quiet. We both fell asleep soon after.
