*Yoshiko's POV*
This is going to end in disaster.
This was the only thought running through my head as I sat in the back of the cab. My small suitcase tight in my hand. I wasn't scared. I knew who I was going to go live with; 6 vampires and my younger half-sister, Yui. I wasn't sad about moving. I hated staying at the church. But I wasn't happy either. Even though I had no real reason to want to go, or not to go; I just knew it was going to end badly.
I ran a hand through my white hair, looking up at the rear view mirror at the front of the car. The bags under my red eyes were prominent. I didn't look the best at the moment. I know; first impressions are everything. But this honestly was just my appearance. Yeah, I hadn't slept in a while but it wasn't my fault. It was my stupid --
"Miss, we have arrived." The cab driver called from the front seat.
"Oh..well thank you sir." I mumbled out. I got out of the car slowly; regretting every step closer to the mansion doors. I stared at the doors before me after kindly nodding at the driver and watching as he drove away; leaving me. I almost wanted to turn around, run after the car yelling at him to drive me back. But that wasn't like me, so I stayed.
I raised my hand to knock but the doors slowly opened by themselves. I shrugged and stepped inside, looking around at what greeted me. Which happened to be 6 guys, half of them looking annoyed at my arrival, and Yui.
"Yoshiko, you're here.." Yui started smiling, walking forward towards me, raising her arms for a hug. But she stopped. She looked at my face then remembered how we left off last time we were together. I stared at her with an emotionless face.
See, I'm not the best big sister out there. But again, it wasn't my fault. It was hers. Our mother loved her. She only acknowledged me the months before she found out she was pregnant with Yui, and it only got worse when she was born. Yui was the perfect child to her. She despised me because I only reminded her of the mistake she made with my father. And Yui made sure to remind me of it.
It's not like my father cared either. He left, and went back to his home. Which, and I hate to just spring this out on you, happened to be back to being the right hand man and brother of the Demon King. Yup. I'm the niece of the Demon King. Why my father decided to come to the human world and get with my mother? Who knows...I sure don't. Why he decided to leave me here, knowing I was half demon? Again, I wish I knew.
I looked away from Yui and looked at the brother nearest to me. With the way he was standing and watching us, I figured he was either the oldest or the one who ran things in the mansion.
"Hello. I'm Yoshiko Himura," I said using my fathers name, "I'm Yui's older sister." I gave a small smile to the dark haired man in front of me, then my smile faded. I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"Yoshiko...please don't be like this. I don't want it to be --" Yui's soft voice said from behind me. Before she could finish, my eyes widened, suddenly changing to a darker shade of red. I growled, "Don't. Touch. Me." and in an instant I had turned around, my right hand was around her throat and she was slammed against the wall. My left hand had punched a hole in the wall, close to her head.
"Oi! What is she doing to Pancake!?" I heard a voice yell, and I snapped out of it. I had forgotten they were there. I guess my anger got the best of me. I released Yui, watching her slide down the wall gasping for air, then I looked at the hole in the wall. My eyes widened, going to their normal hue.
I turned around quickly, looking at the range of reactions from the brothers. "I...I am so sorry," I bowed half-heartedly, "I apologize for breaking the wall, I'll fix it don't worry." I looked up and was met with green eyes. The guy in front of me smirked as I looked at his reddish-brown hair and (admired) his fedora.
"Oh~ You're different from bitch-chan~." He smirked, grabbing my chin to make me look at him. I didn't think I was one to easily get flustered but having a vampire this close to me, my face heated up. I started mumbling out inaudible things as I looked at him.
"Laito." A stern voice snapped from behind the guy. "Give the woman some space. She hasn't even been introduced to us properly." And with that, he let go and backed up, smirking. I watched his movements then my eyes turned to the one who spoke. He was the one I figured ran everything, and from the way the guy, Laito, listened I would assume that I'm right.
"Welcome Yoshiko. Now," He pushed up his glasses, looking at me and pointing at a guy sleeping on a couch. "That is the oldest brother, Shu. I am Reiji, the second eldest. Those are the triplets, Ayato, Kanato, and Laito. And the youngest, Subaru." He continued, pointing at each brother.
I looked at each brother. I watched as Ayato helped my sister, mentioning pancakes for unknown reasons to me. I disregarded what seemed like a name for Yui and gave a small smile to Reiji.
"It's nice to meet you all..." I started just as the white haired brother, Subaru, growled and disappeared. So they can do that too. I thought to myself before I mumbled about how he must have already taken a disliking to me.
"Again, I apologize for the wall. Sometimes I can't control my...anger." I looked away sheepishly.
" I don't think she's human either Teddy..." I heard a small comment from Kanato. They don't know?
"Her blood does smell.. different~ I wonder how it tastes~~" Laito chirped in, stepping closer to me and grabbing my wrist. He leaned down to my neck. I completely ignored the fact that he obviously wanted my blood and snapped around to Yui.
"You told them I'm coming, but you didn't even tell them that!?" I barked at her harshly. I ripped my arm away from Laito and started walking closer to Yui. Surprised at my outburst, Shu opened one eye, before speaking up.
"Didn't tell us what?" He asked boredly but also curiously.
"Y-Yoshiko...it s-slipped my mind. Please c-calm down..." Yui stuttered out, which made me even more upset. In situations like this she'd normally have the upper hand, but our mother wasn't here this time.
"Oh don't play scared with me! You little--" I stopped myself and ran a hand through my hair trying to calm down. Breathe in. Breathe out. I repeated this in my head then ignored the previous conversation, turning towards the blonde who spoke.
"She just happened to forget to mention that I'm not human. In fact, I'm a demon and as you can tell I get angry easily, which she should know and..." Breathe. " I just...I need to lay down...could someone show me to my room...please?" I shakily asked at the end. I didn't want to seem weak, like her, but I just needed to think for a moment.
     "I'll take yo--"
"No. I'll take her." Surprisingly, the sleepy blonde stood up, lazily glancing at me.
"Oh wow. The good-for-nothing actually getting up to help. Surprising." Reiji scoffed before glaring, and disappearing to who knows where. Shu simply rolled his eyes and grabbed my suitcase, making his way upstairs. I followed behind him, a little confused at Reiji. He seemed like he was the proper type, not one to lash out like that. But I wasn't one to judge. Obviously something was going on between the two. And I wasn't going to interfere so I continued down the long hall with Shu, in silence.
"Here." I looked up right before walking into his back. I blushed at the contact and how tall he was to me and stuttered a thank you, before grabbing the suitcase from him and stumbling into the room. Shutting the door without looking at him. Shu sighed on the other side of the door before walking away with the smallest smile on his face.
I on the other hand was just getting my blush to calm down and sat on my bed, looking around the room. I sighed, mumbling out the typical thing, "Guess this is home now..."
