"Dude, wake up." A groggy voice wakes me.

With much effort, I lift my eyelids. The room was dark but I could make out the figure's head looming over me. It's Shawn. Last night's jam session and gaming went way into the morning. My head pounds.

I cleared my dry throat. "What time is it?"

"It's like, 9am." Shawn throws my shirt I took out yesterday on my face. I grunt, smiling a little. I could make out his dark hair and sharp features as he puts on his own. A few empty cans of Heineken sat in the table.

"Great. Class in an hour." I wore my t-shirt, groaning.

"We should do this again some time." Shawn gathers my stuff.

"Definitely."

"Well, you smell of alcohol." Avril comments as I sat next to her, slumping.

I hum in response, before resting my head on the table. Wait. Avril is talking to me normally again? My head whips up faster than a cheetah chasing a cute animal to tear apart. A slight wince shows on my face as my head still buzzed a little.

"Talking to me again?" I wait for her response.

"I never stopped." She looks at the pen she's twirling in nonchalance. "I just wanted to-"

"Give me a chance talk to other people blablabla," I cut her off and try to get her to see reason. "I'm a grown man, love. I know who I want to talk to. I'm not that oblivious."

At that, she looked a little offended. Oops, I probably shouldn't have cut her off so impolitely. Especially when she was thinking of me whilst doing what she did.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have been so insensitive." I confess.

She raises her left eyebrow as if doubting my apology but I managed to notice her body language soften abit at my words.

"Grown man, as if." She scoffs. "Did you even remember to go to CCA yesterday?"

Ah fuck.
