"Ms. Lavigne," Ms.Hagnes called out. I looked up from the Celebrity magazine I was reading. Looks like One Direction were more popular than I thought.

"Yes, Ms. Hagnes?" I gave her a barbie smile.

"Come here."

"Fine," I sighed, my smile falling as I got up.

Niall was still there, looking at me apologetically. Meh.

"You will be showing Niall around the school since you two are taking all the same classes." Ms.Hagnes orders, making my jaw drop as she handed me his timetable and info card that all newbies get. Ugh. I am not a tour guide. "You will make him feel accustomed to this school."

"Why?"

She motions me closer and whispers in my ear. "Your father's orders."

I pulled back, groaning. Damn it, dad.

At the corner of my eye, I saw 'His Majesty' Niall open his mouth to speak. My head snapped to face him, daring him to say a word.

He clamped his mouth shut as his eyes met mine.

I grumbled, rolling my eyes as Ms.Hagnes shooed us away.

This is still so unfair.

Niall P.O.V.:

The girl in front of me was beautiful. She made a shiver go down my spine, dangerous vibes rolling off her which sent an obvious message to passerby's to back off. I've never heard her music before, but maybe that would change.

"Will you hurry up, please?" Her voice is hollow, almost bored as she waits for me to catch up.

I remembered from Ms.Hagnes told me that her name was Avril, and a nice boy like me should be wary of her.

If only she knew, if only she knew.

Besides that, what Ms.Hagnes said was weird because after that she told me that, she ordered Avril to stick with me. That's why I was so shocked.

Anyways, despite all these, I think Avril and I got off on the wrong foot. Whoever smiles that pretty couldn't possibly be that mean.

"Hey, i'm sorry you have to follow me around and everything." I called out to her as I had to jog to catch up.

"I'm glad to hear you understand my pain." She sighs, cutting me off immediately.

Ouch.

Although it was subtle, I noticed that she slowed down her pace to be on step with me. I tried not to smile.

We quietly walked through the hallway, past classes like Videography and Body Language 101. The corridors were quiet due to the ongoing classes as each classroom door was buzzing, the teachers inside hard at work, probably.

We fell into a comfortable silence as I took in the surroundings.

Every now and then Avril would point out some stuff in the halls that made her eyes gleam a little. I smiled.

Everything here was so fancy.

"Why are you even here?" Her voice speaks up, making me look at her as her eyes meet mine, not in hostility but more of in a wonder. "One Direction is already so famous."

I raised an eyebrow, questioningly.

She knows about us?

"Yes, I do." She states as if everyone knew about us.

How did she hear me?

"You're thinking out loud." She gives me a new smile, one I didn't see before in the office. This one, this smile definitely confirmed she can't be that bad. My heart jumped a little but I didn't know why.

We exited the building to stand in front of a new one, it being titled at the front door in gold plating.

Boy's Domitories- No girls allowed.

Cool.

"Okay, Ms.Hagnes gave me a slip of paper before and you're supposed to look at your new room." She looks down at a laminated white slip of paper in her hands. "Let's go."

She goes up the steps to the door handle and looks back to me as I stood there, unmoving. "Are you coming or what?"

"I know I'm new here and everything," I said, running my hand through my hair, unsure. "But doesn't the sign say no girls?"

"Oooh!" She suddenly clapped her hands together, the laminated paper between hands as her voice changed into a preppy, sweet one, startling me. "The world-famous pop star knows how to read. Wait, don't tell me he knows how to write too!"

It took me a while but I managed to get that she was just being sarcastic.

I remained silent at that. I don't know how to respond, even if I wanted to.

She rolled her eyes, sighing as she explained. "Yes, they say that no girls are allowed here. But last time I checked, I don't care."

"Right." I nodded, not bothering to fight with her for now. I wouldn't want her to leave me alone in this huge school. I wonder how that'll be like, running through the long corridors, never-ending. It'll be so...

"You coming?" She puts her hands on each side of her hips.

"Hmm? Oh right, right." I said, quickly joining her.
