ASongInDistress: You must be really tired during the day.

It was 2 in the morning, and Archie was two seconds away from crashing. He was a baby, a baby who needed 8 hours of sleep despite being 17 years old.

The duo had been talking all night long, and Archie found Jughead to be mesmerizing. The raven haired teen had so much personality, and he did the cutest things over text. He was right when he said that he rambled, but Archie found it adorable. It was cute how Jughead barely said a word to anyone in school, but talked so much in any other setting. It suggested that maybe he wasn't purposely anti-social.

Maybe he was just awkward.

Jughead: tbh that's pretty true. I do most of my sleeping in school and it's so bad. But it's good because then I don't have to talk to anyone 😬

ASongInDistress: why don't you talk to anyone?

Jughead: well for starters, people would have to want to talk to me for that to happen. Everybody judges me and makes fun of me at my school. And then they have the nerve to call me cold hearted. No bítch, I shoot you icey stares because you're rude, not because I'm "void" or some stupid shít. Then there's the fact that my school has these stupid dumb labels like we're in mean girls. You can guess where I land in the social hierarchy. But honestly, I also just have social anxiety.

Archie laughed at the long text, because everything Jughead said was true. Their school was something straight out of an early 2000's comedy, and Archie was a victim of the labels as well.

Jughead: Sorry, you don't have to read all of that. I know it was a lot gosh.

ASongInDistress: No no it's okay. It made me laugh. My school is the exact same way. People think I'm dumb and happy all the time just because I'm on a varsity sports team. I seriously have no friends whatsoever. Just a bunch of people that hang out with me and talk to me like they care in the hallways and on the field. After that, I'm alone. Nobody actually wants to get to know me.

Jughead: Well I wanna get to know you. So far we've just been talking about me. I'm seriously not that interesting. I wanna know about you.

ASongInDistress: tmr tho cuz I'm really really tired. Well I guess later today.

Jughead: okay, same time same place. Gn baby

ASongInDistress: baby? What happened to no flirting.

Jughead: NO BABY AS IN THE FETUS CUZ YOU GO TO SLEEP SO EARLY 😅

ASongInDistress: hmmm. Right. gn

Archie was completely dead that morning for school, and everyone knew it. He didn't even bother to hide it as he moved sluggishly throughout the hallway that morning.

"Hey Archie, you look awful." Reggie laughed when he saw the redhead leaning his head up against his locker in an attempt to rest.

"Thanks."

"What bus hit you?"

"The bus called stop insulting me and let me be tired."

"Someone's grumpy when they're tired. That's a new side of you I haven't seen before."

Archie just snorted and looked at Reggie tiredly. "You've only ever seen one side of me so I'm not surprised." He mumbled before opening his locker and sighing at the thought of getting through today.

"Well yeah! Because you're always happy and smiley, you being normal is weird."

"What do you mean by normal."

"As in a normal human being who gets tired and gets grumpy and has their own problems. It's kind of refreshing that the great Archie Andrews is tired." Reggie shrugs.

"Who said I was great?"

"Well everyone seems to think you are."

"Okay? But nobody knows me whatsoever so the fact that everyone in this idiotic establishment thinks that I'm so great makes me mad. And yes! I get mad! Is that a surprise too?!" Archie practically yelled, causing everyone in the hallway to cease talking and look at the flaming redhead.

"People are staring." Reggie whispered harshly.

"Yes, I can see that Reggie." Archie sighed before slamming his locker shut and walking away down the hall. The bell sounded and soon everyone headed off to their designated classes, Archie's mental break down being whispered and passed around quickly.

By the time everyone was in their seats for first period, most of the school had heard about it and Archie was sat sunk low in his seat and staring at his desk exhaustedly.

In all honestly he couldn't have cared less that people were now talking about him like that. In fact, he kind of liked it. He's so tired of this expectation people have of him, and it's not like people talk to him anyways.

"Hey Archie?" A quiet voice sounded from the next to the redhead. Archie's eyes widen at the beautiful sound before turning his head towards Jughead who is playing with his fingers.

"Yeah?"

"For the record, I don't think you're great."

Archie frowns.

"I mean, fúck sorry I'm not good with words. I mean, I don't think you're perfect. I don't think you're great because I don't know you all that well and no one really does, like you said. And I guess what I'm trying to say is that I relate kind of. I mean I guess. Like not being known well and having people make assumptions. Um, it just sucks. I'm sure the real you is interesting, and Im sure you want people to think that part of you is great, not how everyone assumes you act like. Do you know what I mean?" Jughead rambled quietly before looking over at Archie.

"Yeah, thanks actually, I get what you're trying to say and that honestly made my day a whole lot better." Archie smiled honestly. He thought it was really cute how he attempted to comfort him despite not talking to him before.

"No problem, I guess we'll call it even since you gave me those bouquet Of Flowers." Jughead joked, causing Archie to giggle and smile at the cute raven haired boy.

Most of the class turned around towards the duo who were at the back of class, with confused looks.

A smiley Jughead Jones just made a mad Archie Andrews giggle.
