"Hey Archie?" Jughead asked shyly while biting his lip and tapping his pencil lightly on his finished worksheet.

"Mhm?" Archie turned towards him with a heavenly smile, giving the beautiful boy his undivided attention.

"I was wondering if, um, maybe if you feel like it anyways, if I could have your number?" Jughead barely squeaked, tapping his pencil faster as he got more nervous.

He usually never did these things, but Archie seemed fun and maybe, for once in his life, he could make a friend out of this.

"For what?" Archie laughed, and although he had no attention for his reaction to come off rudely, it did.

"I don't know, never mind." Jughead rushed before turning his head back towards his worksheet and looking down again.

Well, that was embarrassing.

"Wait! No, don't do that. Wow that was kind of an asshole thing to say, I didn't mean it like that. I meant, why would you want to talk to me? I guess I just thought maybe there was something you needed because that's the only time people text me." He admitted sheepishly, causing Jughead to look up at him with a slight smile.

"Because I find you intriguing, Archie Andrews." Jughead giggled before pulling out his phone and placing it on the redhead's worksheet.

Archie's been called a lot of things, but never intriguing.

He blushed before typing in his number and handing it back to the shy one next to him. "What's my contact name going to be?"

"Hmm, I don't know. You can pick if you want."

"What about, the florist?"

"Sounds perfect."
