I can't even begin to fathom what I just heard. There are others like me? Is the government after him? Why did he trust me with this secret? Why can't he hear my thoughts? Is there something wrong with me?

My eyes widen. "Don't you dare tell me this is some kind of Twilight level shit here." I grumble.

He smirks. "You actually read the books?"

I've read a great deal of books, including the Twilight Saga. No social media does scary things to a person...

I shrug. "You know me, I'm a sucker for romance."

He chuckles a little bit. "You may be the most deadpan person ever."

Before I can stop myself, I smile.

"Damn," he says. "Didn't think I'd ever see you smile..."

I raise my eyebrow and scoff. "I smile all the time, for your information."

He shakes his head. "No, you don't. You paste a picture of one over your mouth, unless you're pretending to be an emotionless robot. I've never seen you actually smile. It's kind of beautiful."

I inhale sharply. I didn't expect him to compliment me. A warm blush spreads on my cheeks.

With no warning, Parker walks away from me. I would get up, but I'm still pretty dizzy and the last thing I should do is fall flat on my face right now.

"What the hell are you doing?" I yell in a hushed tone.

He rushes back to me. "We've gotta go."

"What? Why?" I'm slightly panicked.

Slinging his backpack on, he starts walking and calls back to me, "Are you coming?"

"Uh," I mumble. "I can't exactly move right now-"

He stands for a second, obviously trying to come up with a solution. His expression curls into a sly grin. "You're gonna kick my ass for this..."

I don't even have time to react. He comes over to me and picks me up and literally throws me over his other shoulder like a bag.

Parker just sat me in the passenger seat of his car. He literally just carried me out of the high school like a sack of potatoes.

I don't even know what to say or do. What is this day? I'm only slightly dizzy now, but still a bit hazy. I'm analyzing my surroundings when the roar of the engine catches my attention. I look over at him, realizing he's pretty well off too.

"You drive a Mustang?" I look around the car. It has a black and red interior with a manual shift. It's definitely new with all the bells and whistles. I'm guessing a 2016 model.

He starts to drive and seems relaxed

He starts to drive and seems relaxed. "Yeah, this here is Christine." He pats the steering wheel.

My eyes widen. "As in the possessed car?"
