The next morning, I wake begrudgingly and roll out of bed at 7:15. It takes me a minute to realize that I'm not in my dorm back at CalArts, but in Scotland. A warm shower feels great, and I pick out a nice warm outfit that consists of a black sweater, jeans, black boots, and a gray scarf. I tie my light auburn locks into a loose braid, and try to cover up my smattering of freckles, but, as always, give up. There's too many of them. I grab my gray over the shoulder bag and stuff my journal, pen, phone, and wallet inside. The cool air nips at my face as I make my way down Princes Street, searching for a coffee shop that I'd heard about. With a bit of help from my Maps app, I stand outside of it in a bit of writer's excitement. The sign has a little decorative elephant on it, and in cute lettering it reads, "The Elephant House". I know this place. The "birthplace of Harry Potter". I jump a little in place, silently fangirling. JK Rowling was one of the most inspirational authors in my life; she's part of the reason I'm even here. I take a deep breath and march inside. There are a few people in here, but it's still pretty early. I order a chai latte and my breath catches as I make my way to "the back table in the far left". I pull out the chair with shaky hands and sit down. JK Rowling sat here. I smile and look out at the view she loved. Edinburgh Castle sits high above the city, the river running below my feet. The sun is rising over the hills, giving it a lovely orange glow. I sigh and sip my chai. I already love it here.

Hi!! Short chapter, but y'all know that.
I've actually been to the Elephant house. It's pretty cool. And JK Rowling wrote the first Harry Potter book there, so it was super cool. The picture at the top is the bathroom there, with all the Harry Potter graffiti. (I know this chapters boring. I promise it'll get better)
Anyways, hope you're enjoying!
