Chapter 2

"is this seat taken?"

I looked to the guy next to me and he was extremely looked cold. His facial seems to be broken since he look at me furrowed eyebrows. I wonder if he ever smiles though. 

"uhh... no not really," I said, glancing at the seat next to me. "would you like to sit here with me?"

"it'll be a pleasure," 

Not to mention that he also had a good manners. I'm surprised. I let him sit next to mine and we exchange glances before looking at our teacher. She was talking about this new school isn't as bad as we thought it was. Well, no shit, I forced to join this hell and what else should I do?

"this is boring," I muttered. 

"yeah, it is," I turned to him. 

"oh, sorry. I was trying... well," I looked down. "I had a habit at talking under my breath, but I didn't expect you to hear me,"

"you were being loud," I raised an eyebrow. 

"was I... really that loud?" I chuckled "I believe I wasn't that loud, you know,"

"whatever," 

I turned to him and I realized that I didn't catch his appearances before. I was too caught up by his existence. I never even realized that he had a black kinda blue eyes. 

"hey," I started.

"what?"

"I'm Eren," he turned to me. "I... umm... guess we could be friends?"

"friends?"

"yeah," I smiled. "so, what's yours?"

He hesitates. "Levi,"

"that's cool!" I chuckled before rising my hand. "Eren Jaeger,"

He rolled his eyes before shaking his hands to mine. "Levi... Ackerman,"

I guess I should have seen that coming, honestly. I never thought it would turn out that way. After weeks passed by, Levi and I grew stronger each day. I'm not going to say it was okay for strangers to be this close for only couple of days but, this feelings that I had with him feels so real and comfortable. It's not because I'm very much open to him but he is also a good keeper.

After we became close on that day, we've also had couple of others. The names were Reiner, Bertolt, and Ymir. We all were named as a 'Committee of Doomsday'. It was a cool group that I've found in facebook.

That day was the last day of class on 29th September. I was running back to the class where my friends are. Today, we're going to this restaurant together. But because of the lack of transportation we had, it make us difficult to get there.

"oi!" I shouted and smile when I saw my friends.

"you shouldn't scream that loud," Reiner said. "there's not much of people here,"

I ignored him. "so! I think I have an idea,"

"huh? Jaeger had an idea?" I glared at Levi.

"you seemed unimpressed with my idea," he raised an eyebrow.

"I'm not unimpressed, Eren," I glared at him more.

"so what's with the expression, Levi,"

He and I were having a glaring competition at each other until Bertolt seperated us by gently pushing our chests.

"oi, oi! does it really necesarry now? we're going to hang out today, right?" Bertolt said. "and stop being an idiot for five seconds,"

"what!?" both of us now glared at Bertolt.

"oiii," Ymir frowned. "cut it out now, will ya?"

"I-I'm sorry," Bertolt apologized. "it's just that... we're wasting time now? we should be there like an hour ago,"

"give us the idea, Eren," Reiner crossed his arms.

I told them my idea. Even though they seemed to be focused on my explanation, my thoughts were focusing on Levi's expression. Why was he unimpressed? Is it because of my ego? I don't know. He usually agrees with whatever I do and why now?

"that seems to be good," Reiner smiles. "hiosh! let's moving then!"

"I'm coming right behind ya," Ymir and Bertolt said before following behind Reiner.

"I refused,"

"what?" I grabbed Levi's collar shirt. "what's wrong with you, huh?"

Levi glared. "what brat? have a single nerve to shout at me with your empty brain?"

"huh?" I was confused. "what?'

"I refused to go," what? "because I want to ride with you,"

"o-oh," I was too shocked to realize that. "umm... yeah, okay. it's not a big of deal,"

On the ride to the restaurant was great. We ate together and share those unfold stories with each other and trusting one another. It was, honestly, very heart-warming.

I was too down with the conversation. We all realized that Reiner and Ymir had the same crush which made the both of them fight. Until then...

"you smoke?" my eyes widden as I stare at Levi with horror. Nobody noticed I was grabbing my bag and holding a cigarette.

At that time, I was scared that our relationship will torn apart because of it. Because of my habit. I don't want him to leave though, I have enough with thousand of people turning their backs at me. But, I know, he was different.
