"you smoke?"

"I...,"

"I've never thought a guy like you would smoke,"

I looked down to my hands and saw how shaking I was. Reiner, Bertolt, and Ymir was talking something very loud that they didn't even notice that I hold a cigarette. Shit. My heart stopped beating for a while. This is the only promise that I want to keep it to myself, and not actually wanted to tell anybody.

"you know what?" I turned to Levi. "I used to do that too, if that even makes you feel better,"

"huh?" why again he told me this?

"I understand that you were stressed over something," he sipped his drink. "I mean, lots of people does the same thing when they're down, right?"

"I-I guess,"

"we're in the same page now, what's the point of hiding it anyway now?" he's right. I don't need to hiding it anymore and I sick of keeping shits by my own.

I smiled at him before catching those three attentions. I told them about my past and things, I told them about my nightmare. I even told them my bad habit of smoking. Honestly, I've never been so free in my entire life. Keeping these secrets to yourself isn't good and I really wanted to be free for a while.

What I like the most about us is that they're act normal when I told them that I smoke, but I promise I'd stop. That entire evening, Levi keep glancing at me and every time I catch his gaze, he'd gave me this sweetest-warm smile that I haven't seen before. Sure, he smiles around people but compare to this, it's like heaven is calling my names.

"fucker tard," I swore as I search for my homework notes. "shitty shit fuck!"

"hey, what's with this language in the morning," Levi playfully smack my head and rubbing it after he hit me. "what are you looking for?"

"my life," I look at the teacher who is submitting the students homework one by one and she was almost come to our table. I panicked as I keep on searching for my notes.

I can't believe that the homework I work so hard was left in my bed room and this is unforgivable. I never done a shit like this, hell, I'm here looking for scores not to fuck around. I should have stay home yesterday! Fucking April, who's one of the bitchest person in the class, invited me to Sid's place. Levi didn't come though, he said he wasn't interested. I should have listened to him either.

Since I was too panicked over this, I jumped when I felt someone tapped my shoulder. I let out a small high pitched scream before giving Levi a death glare while he's giving me a no shit looks.

"what," I asked sternly at him.

"hold your dick," he furrowed his eyebrows. "what's gotten in to you? what's going on?"

"my homework, Levi. I left my fucking homework in my bed room," I go back to search for my notes, hoping it'd show up somehow.

"it's only three weeks of High School and you already done this shit," Levi glared before pinching my ear. "and don't tell me you also forgot to do it,"

"Le-Levi! that's fucking hurt!" I smack his hand away from my sore ear. "what the fuck was that for!? and yes, grandpa, I did the damn homework! gee, you don't have to turn to be like my mom,"

"make up your mind, Jaeger. do you want me to be your grand father or your mother? you don't even have to answer that, I don't even want to be part of your cringey family," I glared at him.

I jumped as I saw the teacher was coming closer to our seats. "shit, shit, shit, shag balls, fuckitty fucker tard, hell you bitch an asshole, fu-,"

"you don't have to drop the f-bomb, don't you?" I felt Levi playfully punch my arm.

"fucking hell, Levi," I started to tremble. "I... I don't know what to do,"

"how did you even left your homework anyway?"

"I- I was in a hurry this morning, alright!?" I trembled as the teacher was almost there. "holy fuck, Levi,"

"let me guess, you were over-sleep again? watching that anime... uhh, what is it again? Nardo?"

"do-does it matter!? now, will ya give me a hand or something? please?"

I looked at him and he was beyond pissed about it. I was sure that I was out of the 'life' line this time. We've talked about this before about not doing or submitting homeworks, and Levi admitted that he'll kill me if I ever did that. Shit, I don't even know what's going on right now. I am scared I won't get the score, that's all! what's that? scared of Levi? pfft... of course not.

"you're just as shitty as it gets," he said.

"insult me whatever you want, but I really... really need your help,"

"what? you're smarter than me, use that brain of yours,"

"this... is a different situation, Levi!"

"ahem!" we both looked up to the person who look at us with a smile.

I scream with no sound and grab Levi's collar shirt and sniffing at him. I gave him a very, very sad face which he only receive with a smirk.

"Mr. Ackerman and Mr. Jaeger, where's the homework?" I looked at her with horror. "Mr. Jaeger? is everything alright?"

"I- I-,"

"we forgot...," I turned to Levi who's searching for words. "to bring... it,"

I know this may to be dramatic but at that moment, I saw him with different kind of vision. He was completely a different person. The teacher wasn't very pleased with what Levi told her, and she told us to meet her in the office later which was actually much better than I ever thought. After the teacher passed us, I let go of my grips on his shirt.

"why... didn't you just submit it? I... I mean, thanks... Levi," I was too speechless to even realized at what he just did to the both of us.

"we're friends, aren't we?" Levi looked at me. "friends can't be left behind. if one of us is in trouble, we had to go trough it together,"

I swear, from that moment until now. I never would have thought that I would see him as a different person. He actually does have a heart and his facial expression isn't broken after all. His smile was beautiful.
