Chapter 22

I slowly opened my eyes when I felt the sun hitting my eye lids, which disturbing my sleep-or nap. I have no idea what time is it right now. It feels like it's been an hour ever since Levi drove off to the country side ways. We're on this hill road where we could see the beach under it and the view is fascinating. I yawned before looking up to Levi where he's still driving on the driver seat with a cold beer can on his hand while the other hand handling the steering wheel.

"you never told me you brought beers along," I said before looking back to the back seat. "where did you put it?"

"no beer for Jaeger," he said while drinking the beer and eyes still locked to the road.

I turned to him with an annoyed face. "I'm serious, where did you put the beer? I need it. it's hot,"

"I know," he said. "that's because your host is here,"

"funny," I said before, finally, found where Levi put the beer. I grab it and starts to drink them. "a lemon beer?"

"welcome to Bali," he said.

"you've never been on Bali before," I turned to him with a smirk.

"bitch, don't judge me," he turned to me, now with a smirk.

"wait, are you serious?" I looked at him fully.

"when I was like... what? 5 maybe, or maybe 7," he said before drinking his beer again. "I have an uncle he who lives here,"

"cool! so, you don't actual rent this car?" I look around in the car.

"I still rent it. I just don't communicate with him that much," he explained.

"so, you don't even know if he still alive or not?" I asks and he just reply with a shrug which made me chuckle. "you can't do that. at least, know that he's okay,"

"he always had new chicks beside him, so I assured myself that he's fine," I smiled at him before looking at the road.

"where are we going anyway? it's been an hour and we haven't even arrive anywhere," I asks.

"you ask questions too much," I glared at him.

"don't you even try, Levi," I said.

He looked at me for a second before chuckling at himself. "tryna dare me, are we? please, Eren, you're 10 years too early for that kind of shit,"

"just tell me already!" I said to him, getting a bit frustrated. "oh my god, Levi! what about the teachers? did you tell them where we're headin'? I mean, what if they call the cops to find us? I heard the police here are very strict! Levi, I want to get home back safe and sound!"

He only chuckled while drinking his beer before putting it in the empty plastic bag. "that's the part of having an adventure, right? getting chased by the cops, people were worrying of us, people think we're dead or whatever-,"

"Levi!" I slap his arm before crossing my arm in front of my chest. "you're not fucking helping! and, are you serious? cops chasing us? Levi, I will fucking kill you,"

"that makes the problem worst then," he said before turning to me. Why is he being a cocky little bitch now? Oh wait, no, he's always like this.

"Levi, please tell me that we're okay," I said before pouting. "I wasn't joking when I said I want to go home safe and sound. just... just tell me that we're okay and I'll stop asking,"

He glanced at me before looking at the road. Then, he didn't answer my question. This fucking asshole. I have, at least, do something. I mean, thinking of what people will think of us. I started to think that, maybe, Connie suspect something from us back at the beach where Levi kissed me.
