"...and in other news, a monster caused quite the scare in the Golden District outside of the town bank. It seems that he was a security guard that started having some sort of panic attack, causing him to hallucinate and lash out, leading to quite a bit of property damage on site. Thankfully nobody was hurt...but the guard was fired immediately by Richard Takio, the head of the bank. In spite of all the progress made with human-monster relationships by the monster ambassador Frisk Dreemurr, it looks like monsters still have a long way to go to being trusted if this incident has any say in the matter..."

Nobody could shake the shocked looks off their faces as Frisk turned the TV off, what the news report said repeating on loop in their minds.

"That...couldn't have been Sans...right?" Frisk finally asked out loud, eyes wide in shock.

Undyne began to stutter slightly, something out of character for the ex-royal guard.

"I-I dunno kid...I mean...it r-really isn't like him but...it IS possible..."

Papyrus shook his head quickly.

"NO! I refuse to believe it! This is SANS we're talking about! One of the smartest and most hard working people we know! He would never do such a thing! Not at his place of work and ESPECIALLY not on purpose! It must have been a co-worker! Yes! That HAS to be it! My brother's going to walk through that door after his shift and tell us that he had nothing to do with it! Promise!" Papyrus retorted, as if trying to reassure himself more than Undyne.

"A-Are you sure Paps?" Alphys asked with a worried tone.

Papyrus nodded.

"POSITIVE!"

As if on cue, the front door slowly creaked open; Sans soon walking in with a cardboard box of stuff under his arm. Sans didn't seem to be looking at anyone or anything as he walked by the room. It was as if he was sleepwalking. The box under his arm and the blank stare made it all to clear what had happened...and the reality of it all made everyone practically gasp anime-style. They were instantly looking at each other with worried whispers and wide eyes; save for Papyrus, who seemed to uncharacteristically mellow out after a few seconds.

"Oh dear goodness he really did it..." Toriel said in shock.

Undyne was instantly on her feet and rushing toward the skeleton.

"HEY! SANS! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED OUT THERE TODAY?! ATTACKING THINGS AND SCARING HUMANS?! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?! WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO?! AFTER THAT STUNT YOU PULLED, AT THIS RATE IT'LL BE AGES BEFORE WE-"

SLAM!

Undyne glared at the newly slammed bedroom door with rage.

"HEY! BONEHEAD! I WAS TALKING TO YOU! COME OUT AND TALK TO US YOU SON OF A-"

"Undyne that's enough!"

Undyne's eyes widened as Papyrus placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Crowding my brother like this won't help anything. He's already upset as it is." Papyrus explained with an unusually calm voice.

"But he-"

Papyrus cast a stern look her way.

"And I will talk to him later about it. Right now we should give him space."
