All was silent....
Nothing but the wind howling in the distance and the occasional car driving on the road could be heard. The night was clear. Not a single cloud in the sky. The moon shined brightly, as if a spotlight was placed against the sky. The stars could be seen for miles and miles and didn't seem to be stopping.
It was the perfect night...
The perfect night for a hunt...
A small smile played at the young man's lips as he adjusted his hat, one hand poised at his belt as he awaited the proper moment to draw his weapon. His eyes remained drawn to the cross-road before him. The intersection that separated the Human part of town from the Monster part of town....
Or as the Justice League liked to call it...No Man's Land.
"C'mon you damn monsters...give me something to do tonight..." he muttered, his eyes scanning up and down the road for any signs of life.

Dorothy could be heard to groan slightly.
"SERIOUSLY?! I was hoping for some action..." she mumbled.
John nodded.

They were very held in the ways of old and felt the need to "Take the world back" as it were. Despite only being around a few months, they had gained a reputation for being Monster Killers despite the fact that nobody has died yet. Some Humans were disgusted with them and all Monsters feared them. Yet...they still haven't been completely arrested for their crimes because of how clean their retreats always were. Some managed to be arrested and persecuted...but the JL was a long way from disappearing.
"You sticking around anyway?" Dorothy asked.
John scoffed.
"Of course! There's always a dim bulb in there SOMEWHERE! One is bound to show up and I'll finally be able to put my new baby to good use! Maybe it'll be a dinosaur! Or a zombie! Or maybe a-"
