Papyrus let out a gasp of pain as he landed on the wet stone beneath him, panting heavily as the magic in his eye vanished. He allowed himself a few seconds to catch his breath from that intense teleportation as he got to his feet, taking in the sights and smells of Waterfall around him. As his body began to settle, his mind began racing. The image of Mocha's face was still ingrained in his mind, the haunting sight refusing to be erased. His hands kept curling and uncurling into fists as he recalled how they were wrapped around Kaishi's throat just a few moments ago. His soul felt painfully heavy as he tried to comprehend how it all went so wrong. He didn't want to hurt him! He only wanted to expose him! He would never intentionally do what he did! He would never! He was a good person! He was a good person! He was a good-

"What were you THINKING?!" Chara shouted as they reappeared in front of him, breaking Papyrus' train of thought as their red form shined brightly in his vision.

Papyrus' initial horror was instantly replaced with loathing.

"What was I thinking?! What the hell were YOU thinking?!" he yelled back, a death glare coming to his face.

"You SAID we wouldn't hurt him!"

"I know! And I'm disappointed we didn't! One trip to the hospital and he'll probably be discharged after a week of healing! He should be nine feet under yet all he probably has is some broken bones!" Chara retorted.

"You LIED to me! You PROMISED me we'd EXPOSE him! That he'd get what he DESERVED!"

Chara rolled their eyes with an annoyed grimace.

"I didn't break my promise you idiot! We exposed him as soon as we walked in! It ain't my fault that he deserved a stab in the soul for good measure! I told you he'd get what he deserved and he WOULD have if it weren't for you! If anything you broke YOUR promise to ME! You promised that you'd TRUST me!"

"I DID! Until that trust was broken by you CHANGING THE PLAN!" Papyrus spat.

"That fox is feeling the SAME pain YOU felt when he hurt you! That's what you wanted! YOU SAID SO YOURSELF!" they argued.

"I never wanted to KILL him Chara!" he replied.

"Really?! Then why didn't you STOP ME?! You could've stopped at any time but you didn't! You only gained back control when that damn mutt saw you!"

"YOU LEAVE MOCHA OUT OF THIS!" Papyrus screamed.

"Just face it Papyrus! If he wasn't there Kaishi would be dead right now! And you wouldn't have felt ANY remorse for it!" Chara grimaced.

"Then you CLEARLY don't know me as well as you claim! I would NEVER take the life of another person!"

"Didn't seem to want to resist my hold tonight on the mountain. It was obvious from the start we'd have to fight whoever found us yet you did NOTHING to try and assist the situation and just let me handle it on my terms. If you HAD resisted I wouldn't have been able to give the fish bitch what she owed you! If anything you should be GRATEFUL I took control of your inhibitions! It meant I got to take care of her!"

Papyrus felt an icy feeling go down his spine at that.

"Wha-WHEN DID WE RUN INTO UNDYNE?!" Papyrus questioned.
