"I'm waiting captain..." the JL captain sneered, relishing in the shocked look that the ex-royal guard gave back to him.
A monster from the crowd was quick to start speaking.
"You lot have got some nerve...showing your face around here..." he growled, the JL captain seemingly unphased as he continued.
"What? A monster going on a rampage while their kind only feeds the flames? Isn't this the PERFECT time for us to show up?"
Undyne's eyes narrowed at that remark.
"Showing yourself this obviously is still a pretty bold move. Here I thought the JL operated with secrecy."
The captain chuckled.
"I do believe you have far bigger fish to fry than us Captain Undyne. It ain't gonna look good if any humans die because of that rogue monster you're letting run loose." he pointed out.
Undyne growled under her breath.
"All the more reason for you all to return to your homes so that our professionals can handle this," she stated simply.
"Ah yes, a bonified psychopath, a restaurant owner, a criminal against the laws of nature, and literal children. Quite the team you have going down there."
Undyne's eyes widened in shock as the captain spoke further.
"Don't give me that look, captain. At this point, we ALL know what Sans the Skeleton did in the Golden District. He's not exactly a prime example of a stable individual. And not to MENTION the monstrosities that little girlfriend of yours created. You can call it specism or what have you until your face is blue...er. But I do believe these are valid concerns to have when so many lives are on the line. Who's to say the situation won't get worse if people like THIS are leading the charge..."
Undyne's fist clenched.
"Don't speak as if you know them! You know nothing ABOUT them! If anyone can fix this situation THEY can! They are the best that Monsters have to offer to deal with this situation. A situation...might I add...was only made worse because YOU GUYS are still on the hunt." she pointed out.
The JL voiced up protests before the captain raised his hand in a halting motion; silencing them as he spoke.
"Fair enough Captain. But what credibility are these so-called experts based upon? What makes you think this plan of theirs will actually work outside of blind faith? If this route they're taking goes awry, a VERY dangerous individual will be on the loose again...and it will be up to US to pick up the pieces. I wouldn't trust those deranged monsters down there with my life. They haven't exactly been very careful with lives before."
Undyne's teeth gritted as she heard that statement.
"You WATCH your MOUTH..."
The captain smirked.
"Why? You know I'm right. For all we know that Sans fellow is in cahoots with the Grim Reaper and this is a trap."
Undyne didn't hold back her exasperated tone.
