I met Luna not to long ago. She's awesome! Though she acts lesbian...
Oh well."So how have you been?" She asked, leaning back in her seat.
"Good... it's only been three days after I met you and you come here everyday." I shake my head.
"Because I'm helping you put your heart back together!" She put her hands up in defense. "I get worried easily ok?!"
"It's fine." I laugh, patting her head. She huffs and crosses her arms.
"So... who do you think is cute in the crew?" I ask, wiggling my eyebrows.
"...Ohm." She answered, then put a smirk on her lips. "What about you? Are you crushing over David? Eh?"
"You have no right to know that information."
"BUT YOU JUST ASKED ME THE SAME THING?!" She threw her arms up in defeat. "Fine." She huffed.
"So you think Ohm is cute?"
"Ohm, Mini, Tyler or Moo. But Ohm the most." She shrugged. "I love mysteries."
"So if you guys got together would you search his heart as if it's a mystery?" I ask.
"...Maybe." She then furrowed her eyebrows. "Why are we talking about boys? You do know that I will never get together with any of them."
"Typical girl drama." I answer. She nodded her head.
"Oh." She answered. "Honestly I haven't talked to someone like this since before the crew started bullying me. My friend moved and then I had no one to talk to. Then the crew thought that was a sign of 'weakness'."
I shook my head. "That's messed up."
"You know it is." She chuckled.
"So.. what now?" I ask. She shrugged.
"We could go on a walk. There's this really pretty part of town that I usually go to by myself." She smiled.
"Sounds good." I answer, standing up and stretching. She stood up as well, and led me to the door.
"We'll walk there. It's not too far."⚜️
"Okay, you can open your eyes now." She spoke. I pulled my hands away from my eyes and gasped in surprise. It was beautiful!
There were trees with pink leaves every where, and a patch where no leaves covered the sun. The sun smiled down on that patch, making a small light in all of the shadow. There was no sidewalk, but we weren't too far away from the main road.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" She asked, as she sat in the patch of grass. She put her hands behind her head, and stared at the sky. "Ya know, I always come here when I feel stressed. You're actually the first person I've ever introduced to this place." She gave me a small grin as she looked up at me. I sat down next to her and stared up at the sky.
"Really?" I ask, and she nodded. "This place is beautiful."
"I visit this place quite frequently. It's kind of like... my thinking spot. I ponder on life, and when I feel that I've calmed down or have sorted out my feelings and thoughts, I head home. But usually, I stay here for hours. I even take naps here. It's so quiet and peaceful." She smiled up at the clear blue sky.
I sat up, and looked around. I gasped in delight, as I saw a small white bundle of joy hopping around. A bunny! I tap Luna's shoulder, and when she sat up in alarm, I pointed toward the bunny. It glanced our way with glass blue eyes, before continuing on with its business. It hopped around in joy, before stopping behind a tree.
I stare at it in confusion, but then felt my heart melt when I saw it hop back out, with two smaller bunnies following. The bigger bunny nuzzled both of them in turn, before hopping away, the tinier ones in hot pursuit.
"Awwww!!" Luna purred, and I smile.
"Cute weren't they?" I asked. She nodded. "I hardly see white bunnies nowadays, it's usually brown or black bunnies." I sighed. She nodded in agreement. "If only I saw more white bunnies. Their so adorable." She once again nodded in agreement. It became silent, dead silent.
"Do you think that... the sun will shine down on us?" She asked. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
"What do you mean?" I asked. She shook her head and stared up at the sky.
"The sun. It gives life to plants. It's the center of life. It may help the plants thrive and give us light, but will it actually shine down on us with a smile?" She pointed at the sun as she spoke. "So many people are suffering. People die because of depression and bullies everyday. People are killed by their own kind, for no reason." She shook her head, and I saw a tear fall from her eye. "Will the sun shine down on humanity? Will it bring us back to the surface of the water and let us thrive? It won't let humanity die will it? Will it??" She put the bottom of her palms against her eyes. "I can't stand the thought of people getting hurt and dying everyday because of our own kind. I can't stand it. People say they have their humanity, but not if you've pressured someone into cutting and suicide. People say they have humanity still inside them, but that's not true. I have faith in humanity, buts it's such a small thin line. And it becomes thinner and thinner every day. Every time I hear that someone died or suicided it becomes less and less. I can't stand this. I get bullied too, you know? I think of suicide every day. It may seem that I'm kind, and I smile everyday. But sometimes that smile is fake, and I'm actually hurting inside. I'm not actually happy. I'm glad it's summer, people in school push me and push me and I can't take it. One of these days, I'm afraid I'll hurt myself because of it." She took in a deep breath. I sat in silence, thinking of what she said.
She's right. In so many ways. People die for no reason. People die because of other people. Humanity is dying as we know it.
I pull her into a hug, feeling my own tears forming in my eyes. I rub her back as she cried next to me.
We're all dying on the inside.
