Chapter 12: The Challenge!

"(Y/N)! Get up! We'll be late! C'mon!" Ayato shouted while he shook you awake ferociously.

"Late for what again?" You mumble tiredly, still trying to adjust yourself to the sudden awakening.

"Damn it, must I spell it out for you? Idiot, we're going to school!"

Then it hit you. "...Oh..."

"Get dressed, quick. But then again, I have no problem helping you." Ayato said with a genuine smile.

"No way, I'm fine." You cringe as you think about how he'll undress and dress you. You push him out your door and hurriedly find your school uniform (which was on your bed already strangely), put it on, and raced out the door.

"I didn't mean that we'd need to hurry that fast..." Ayato mumbled to himself dumbfounded. He followed you out to the sleek, black limousine that was planted near the gate. Reiji stood on the side of the car, meaning the others were already in and he was waiting rather impatiently for you and Ayato to arrive.

"Took you both long enough," Reiji states. "Get in."

As you and Ayato went into the vehicle, Ayato forced you to take a seat on the side of him; Yui being on the other side.

"Aw~ Ayato, why must you have all the fun to yourself with (Y/N)? You can be so unfair at times like this~" Laito whined.

"You always do try to spend the most time with her." Kanato then smiled. "Are you afraid you'll lose her? Maybe to... Someone else?"

"She's belonged to Yours Truly ever since she stepped foot in my presence. So shut up!" Ayato argued.

"Do we really have to listen to you call yourself 'Yours Truly' every ten seconds all the way up until we get into class?" Subaru protested.

You stayed silent. Mainly because you were daydreaming... Or nightdreaming about the many things that could happen on your first night back to school.

Timeskip because I have nothing better to do with my life anymore.

"(Y/N), listen to me. Should you ever get lost, please use this piece of paper as a guide to your classes." Reiji told you as he handed you the paper. "It has all of your classes on here, the times of which you go to your next class, and it includes where to find us."

You studied the paper, and chuckled a little bit.

"What's so funny, young lady?" Reiji stared at you with a stern gaze.

"You all wrote your classes in crayon. Oh, look! You're blue!" You showed your brother the paper.

He cringed angrily. "There was nothing else around to write with. Do not get your hopes up. It will never happen again..."

"Yeah, yeah... Oh, that's cute! Shu's orange, Laito's green, Kanato's purple, Ayato is red, and Subaru wrote his in black!" You squeal, completely dismissing what Reiji said.

"Just get to---"

"I wonder why Ayato wrote his classes really big..."

"(Y/N), you're late for your first class, as I am to mine. Go before I whip you."

You quickly scanned your paper for your first class. Mathematics. You weren't particularly worried, since Reiji has given you lessons in the past. You darted off to your first period class, Reiji carefully keeping his gaze on you.

"What a silly girl..." He mumbled as he trailed on to his class steadily, not seeming to be in a hurry. "She doesn't know that we arrived early. Same with that damned Ayato..."

You skipped on to class quickly, bursting in, screaming that you were late. But then you realized that no one was in the room. "Why isn't anyone... Here?" You then began to think the worse. Were you lost? On your first day? You hoped not. As a quick action, you walked out of the class and checked the door for the class' number.

"It's correct, but... I don't get it..." You say confused, looking at your paper and the number. "Guess... I'll have to find one of my brothers?"

You sighed, and turned around just to bump into someone.

Yui.

"(Y/n), there you are! I was sent to find you for your brothers!" She sighed raggedly. She must've ran just to find you.

"Huh? Why? No, I don't wanna!" You replied, curious to wait if this would be the correct class. Yui's expression contorted into one of fear. She didn't plan on you refusing her request. But then she had an idea. A rather smart one for once.

"(Y/n)... If you don't come with me, you won't be able to try some really sweet treats with me!"

"FOOD? WHERE? LEMME AT IT--- Wait a minute... Is it my favorite?" You replied, rather suspicious.

"Of course! I-It's your favorite! Your brothers want to share some of their's with you!"

Oops. She messed up there. Two brothers would never share the food on their plates with you. One, Ayato. Two, Reiji. Especially after how hyper you can get, Reiji won't ever share. "Nah, you're lying. Ayato never shares. Depending on Reiji's mood, he never shares his food with me either."

"W-What? No, I'm not!" Yui stuttered fearfully. "T-They probably want to apologize!"

"Knowing them, probably not."

While you and Yui were going back and forth, the triplets were watching the both of you. "Even a child is smarter than our prey." Kanato whispered lightly, holding Teddy tight to his chest.

"Oh~! That's because she's our little sister, right, Ayato?" Laito snickered quietly.

"Right. And she's mine, so shut up." Ayato countered.

"You don't have to be so selfish. Teddy wants (Y/n)'s love, too. Just like the rest of us." Kanato glared at his older brother.

"Ah, you should know that much, Ayato. When she'll get older, (Y/n) will choose one of us and you can't do a thing about it~" Laito supported Kanato.

"I won't give up." Ayato clenched his teeth. "I won't let her fall into your hands."

"I can say the same. How about it? A duel between all of the Sakamaki brothers to win (Y/n)'s heart." Laito suggested.

"I won't go easy on any of you. Teddy will be my only ally." Kanato sighed angrily.

"We should begin when she is of age. Sixteen is our best bet." Reiji chimed in, out of nowhere.

"Damn it, not you Reiji!" Ayato cursed under his breath.

"I am a little interested in how this will play out." Shu quietly, but clearly stated his presence. "It'll be fun to see who's victorious."

"Oh, please, like any of you could win!" Subaru yelled as quietly as his whisper would let him.

"Oh-ho! So it is a duel after all! Good luck to everyone, but wish all of your luck to me~!" Laito laughed with genuine joy.

"So be it, then." Says Reiji.

"When (Y/n) is sixteen, Yours Truly will be the first to steal her love." Ayato smirked, his fangs showing.

"Bring it on, you narcissistic bastards!" Subaru argued.

A.N. It feels great to be back. More chapters from this story and others will be coming out soon! I am so sorry about my lazy phase, and I do not want it to come back. But, I should be able to maneuver a normal, PRODUCTIVE AND ACTIVE schedule. Even without my new phone or laptop. I'll do my best!
